CFD Engineer Tetra Pak CPS, The Netherlands (Dec 2014 - Present)
• Studied and proposed a new design of the spray dryer with correct outlet positions for reduction of the
fouling using CFD for infant formula (Baby milk powder)
• Based on simulation results, suggested modifications for reduction of sound level in attenuator. Achieved
10 % of noise reduction.
• Successfully tackled problem related to higher temperature on chamber wall in indirect gas fire heater.
Design modifications suggested resulted in reduction of the wall temperature.
• Proposed and implemented a new designs and cost effective solutions for uniform flow through the
bends and hot air distributor.

Alfred Jongsma, Dr. Gert-Jan Gulik, Dr. Innings Fredrik (Industry-Tetra Pak)
• Developed a simulation tool that can provide the particle size, velocity and flux distribution using
an Euler-Lagrange model with modified stochastic-DSMC approach for the prediction of collision,
coalescence, break-up, drying and agglomeration using the combinations of different sub-models.
– Highly dense sprays : Developed the modified stochastic-DSMC model and verified with DEM
– Turbulent flow : Implemented and validated a sub grid scale (SGS) model
– Particle-Particle collision : Implemented and verified hard sphere model
– Droplet-Droplet collision : Implemented,verified and validated droplet-droplet interaction model
– Drying : Implemented and validated the drying model using reaction engineering approach
– Agglomeration : Developed the model based on stickiness and glass bulb temperature
• Investigated experimentally, the turbulent jet flow behavior inside the spray dryer, using PIV.
• Proposed new regime map for a single droplet-particle interactions based on experimental study.
CFD Engineer Tridiagonal Solution Pvt. Ltd. Pune, India (July 2009 - August 2010)
Project: Design of Orifices and Bottom Section of Core Sub-Assemblies
Supervisor - Dr. Prashant Gunjal, Dr. Vivek Ranade
• Worked on provide engineering solution for enhancing performances in various industrial flow processes
using OpenFOAM and commercial CFD software ANSYS FLUENT.
• Proposed novel design of orifice for reducing a cavitation using simulation results.
• Developed excel tool for efficient orifices using correlation from simulation results.
• Independently handled the project activities that includes making plan sheet.
Master of Chem. Engg. Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, India (July 2007 - August 2009)
Project: Steam Induced Hydrodynamic Cavitation
Supervisors - Prof. Anirudha Pandit
• Sutdied and selected the new designs of the venturi on the based of simulation results.
• Proposed a novel concept steam induced hydrodynamic cavitation for the effluent water treatment in
the industries. rate of degradation of material was increased.
Production Officer LUPIN LTD, Mumbai, India (June 2006 - July 2007)
• Independently managed the production activity as shift incharge in the new process development plant
and was responsible for safe and efficient operation.
• Involved as a team member for solving in troubleshooting the production process.
