Fun and frolic was the theme of the children’s day celebrations at Shiksha Niketan where the talented teachers of high school displayed their talents on stage.
Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated with much fanfare at Shiksha Niketan school. A glimpse of the life of the noted poet D.R Bendre was enacted on stage by the students and a medley of his lyrical poems was sung, followed by a dance based on 'Vachanas'.

An ideal opportunity was provided for the kids of Shiksha Niketan to dabble in an eco friendly Ganesha Idol making during a workshop held at school over a duration of three days.

The ambience was filled with patriotism fervour with patriotic songs in different languages, a talk show on the great Martyr 2nd Lieutenant ArunKhetarpal, a posthumousrecipient of ParamVir Chakra for the Indo - Pak war of 1971; highlighting Brigadier Naser of Pakistan, the killer of 2nd Lt Arun confessing to the 2nd Lt Arun's father M L Khetarpal meanwhile paying his tribute to his great opponent, the program came to an end with a mind-blowing dance on the importance of saving every drop of water.
The yoga exponents of ShikshaNiketan NLO, participated in the Dr Rajkumar memorial 4th National level Yoga Championship, held at Sri Rama Samudaya Bhavan. Several students were victorious in various categories. Almana bagged the 1st Place in U 12 - 15 years - girls. Manoj bagged the 2nd place in the U 8-12 years - boys. Ananya bagged the 3rd place in the U 8-12 years - girls. Apart from this, 4 students were awarded consolation prizes and 5 students won a merit certificate.
