Dear Mayor Aquino:
The Schistosomiasis, Soil-transmitted Helminthiasis and other Neglected Tropical
Diseases (NTDs) namely Filariasis, Rabies, Leprosy, Food and Water-Borne diseases are
prevalent in the country and it continuously affects the people especially the poor. The
efforts from various health workers and involvement of the different government
agencies, local government, non-government organization, academe,and other partners
played a role in attaining control and elimination of these diseases.
In view of this, the Department of Health-Regional Office VIII will conduct a
Multisectoral Orientation on Schistosomiasis and other Neglected Tropical
Diseases at Leyte Park Resort Hotel, Tacloban City on July 24-27, 2018.
In connection to this, we would like to invite Mr. Manuel Rosales – Chief Sanitary
Inspector as a Resource Person to attend the said activity.
Participants will be provided with food and accommodation chargeable against
Schistosomiasis fund of DOH-RO VIII, while transportation expenses of the participants
shall be the counterpart of the sending agency.The activity will start at 12:00 noon on
