Leadership Course Analysis
Reflection paper At the beginning of this course, I was curious as to how it would develop. The
following is a reflection on how the course has impacted me in both learning, expectations as a new
leader, and my everyday working life. I found that when I took the three leadership evaluation tools,
the results were not far off from what I expected. These results made me feel positive about myself
and the direction that I have intended on driving my career towards. These tools further identify
where my weaknesses are as well as where my strengths lie. Although I find that this journey is
frightening it has proven rewarding , as well as a diverse and complex trek.

Yet, despite the difficulties and sometimes frightening prospects, the rewards that can be gained
from inspiring others and developing into a great leader are invaluable. Reflecting on where I have
been, where I am currently at and where I am going in my journey is exciting to say the least. Every
step is filled with excitement, and a bit of trepidation. As long as the road to success lies in the realm
of possibility, I plan to walk that path and realize my goals by becoming a leader who builds better
partnerships and thrives in the quantum

Strength In John Steinbeck's Of Mice And Men
Having to be strong can be really beneficial for you. Although your strengths can be visible at times,
there can be some signs of weakness present in your life. Although they may not obvious to you,
they can be obvious to others. The same is represented in the story, Of Mice and Men. Strength and
weakness can be present during the story through physical, mental, or emotional challenges, but
how can you understand of they are either weak or strong? To understand this, you'll need to know
what the setting is. If you have read the story, you should know that this book took place during the
1930s, in the middle of the great depression. During that time, people weren't treated correctly by
those who are more dominant than the others.

How strength can be present in the story from the time when George goes Lennie, and shoots his
skull. The reason why George has done this, is because Lennie's physical strength is too powerful
with a combination of his mental weakness where Lennie can't control it. This leads to the murder of
Curley's wife and her broken neck. After her death, some of the characters of the story thinks that
killing Lennie is "Justified", but what was done has to done. George knew that his American Dream
is now over because of the death of Curley's wife. So in order to prevent any future harm to others,
George decided to kill Lennie. When George finally found Lennie, he talked about their american
dream. While talking about their dream, George then started to pick up a pistol to finally end the
story by killing Lennie. This is supported by "And George raised the gun and steadied it... He pulled
the trigger" (Steinbeck 106). Even though it's sad to see that Lennie died, George was both mentally
and emotionally strong to know what what was done is done. For emotional weakness, Lennie
shows his emotional instability about not being able to tend the rabbits for the dream farm after
killing both a puppy and a human being. You can see when Lennie starts to hallucinate where the
giant rabbit talks about how lennie will never them "If you think George gonna let you tend rabbits,

The Beach Descriptive Essay
A dark lane, dark towers and a pitch gloomy sun passed by me as I followed my path beneath a
cloak of darkness. As I walked down Grey Street, I outstretched for that recognisable wall but didn't
find anything to guide me further. Through walls, through windows, perhaps right beside me I was
exposed to expressions reverberating in puzzlement.
As I carefully strolled down the lane, I know you sympathised me. Your glorious gift allowed me to
see the elegant and vibrant horizon, disperse into a brilliant mixture of colours alongside the
glimmering crystal. As the unforgiving light exposed the world's paleness and blemishes, I know
you had the gift of seeing the specks of sand flicker above the ground, For I was trapped in

In my frantic surge to escape from my nightmare, I grasped my lantern and tossed it across the
ground. I felt no remorse as I heard it smash into tiny fragments along the grey tiles. What good was
a lantern when light failed to exist? My mother swept the pieces to the side of the household and sat
by my side As I glance upon her face filled with emotion, nothing but darkness watched down on
me. It was a silent reminder that I would never see her expression again; that I would never see her
giggle at times of pure joy. At that moment my entire body filled with agony. When I asked her if all
had been lost, I heard a calm yawn as she drew me into her arms. She told me that there is no light
without darkness, that my ability to choose my answer; to alter my decisions in an unchanged
situation will never be taken from me.
She voiced that this world could be sculpture for my thoughts and inspiration. One autumn morning,
A minor echo in the distance awakened me. A bleak thin gust of wind swept past my face roaring
and rattling along the housetops, as fragrances of peach and jasmine overpowered my nostrils. The
vague echo became a vibration as I felt it come closer and closer like the grumble of a hurrying
cavalry. The gusty winds sent leaves lightly trembling down onto the ground, making no sound
effects. Branches intertwined in and out of each other as if they were in there own private dance. For
a second, the world became inactive

Strengths And Weaknesses Of Secura
For any company that is high–performing like Secura, associates just don't have talent, but they also
do well at collaborating when resolving issues and coming up with ideas. In saying this, a great
strength for Secura is the associates they employ. They have great knowledge of the current systems
and expertise for research and development. They are able to develop high quality products with
hopes in staying one step ahead of the competition. The marketing talent has been known to be the
best in the industry. The company takes pride and is very active in its community supporting local
charities, educational establishments and volunteering. Secura is also known to have deep roots in
the local culture and has a great understanding of the customer's needs. Secura sees themselves as a
company that helps to preserve the traits by keeping the uniqueness of the local culture.
They do this by being a huge contributor to the local museums, performing arts, Native Americans,
and other non–profit organizations where they help keep these great organizations and groups in
existence. With Secura's involvement in the community it will only strengthen the trust and
confidence that the community already has for them.
Furthermore, the products that Secura builds is a strength for them in the marketplace. When Secura
builds products, they consider at least two notions: filling the demand of specific consumers and
doing it with an exclusive selling advantage. To get this done, focus

Social Responsibility And Its Impact On Society
As human beings, we need and seek accountability; we are driven by the need to know and to be in
the know. We rely on the ability to conclude swiftly and truthfully. The more we understand the
better grasp we can take about a situation. However, the idea of social responsibility is one that
seems to continually be ignored or missed by many. More often than not, the ones we place as a
pillar of society are the frequent offenders of this act. Many fail to rise to the occasion and accept
accountability for the consequences of their actions while accountability and responsibility fall hand
in hand. We must learn to accept responsibly as a community, not only for each other's actions but
ours as well. We learn that one action does, in fact, speak for the whole. Together we will critically
evaluate the societal claim that we fail to accept responsibility and accountability due to the
impression of community pillars, the morals and ethics we hold, and the effects of the societal social
groups. Those often that hold roles with great responsibility are ones we revere with great fervor,
from doctors and priests to public figures heads and teachers. We instantly hold these people to a
higher standard, compared to that of a cars salesman. We expect these people to make clear level
headed decisions and accept the responsibilities that the job or title come with. Driven by the
definition of responsibility and the connotations that derive from the term, it is portrayed by
Nietzsche as

SWOT Analysis
BUS/211
December 22, 2014
Jamie L. Welch
SWOT Analysis In any business, there are factors that you have to examine to decide how effective
a business will be. Among these factors are strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Each of
these must be fully examined to determine whether or not the business is able to survive. In the
business plan for "Mike's Trucking Service", there is evidence of all of these factors.
Strengths
When looking at the strengths in Mike Smith's business plan, the first one that is noticeable is
simply his motivation. He does not aspire to be a decent trucking company. Mike wants to be one of
the largest trucking companies in the United States. Another significant strength is the found ...

Luckily, Mike's is aware that they will face this issue and have already made it a point to ensure that
the customers that do use their services are pleased.
Opportunities
While being a new business does have its downfalls, it also comes with many opportunities. The
lack of prior indication of customer service means that people are going to be more willing to give
them a chance. After all, no reviews are better than negative reviews. This will give them a chance
to provide wonderful customer service and gain referrals from pleased customers. An even bigger
opportunity lies in the fact that the business is a trucking company. While they are starting in Dallas,
they are looking to eventually expand beyond the metroplex. Due to the nature of the trucking
industry, the business could potentially expand all over the continental United States. The possibility
for such huge expansion will be a great opportunity for the company as it continues to grow.
Threats
Mike's Trucking is going to face threats as they get on their feet. Trucking is a huge industry and
there are already numerous companies that provide the services that Mike is offering. Many of these
companies even target the same industry – food. Not only are there a large number of providers that
target the food industry, there are also providers with a large number of trucks and years of
experience as a

My Key Point For Success
Success is defined as the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. There is different techniques people
use to make sure they reach success. I have read some stories that all have dealt with someone
aiming for success. The stories I read are A Right To Choose Single–Sex Education, Next Term,
We'll Mash You, Raising Smart Kids, A Walk To The Jetty, and ILE. There are four techniques I use
to be successful. The first is knowing my strengths and weaknesses. The second thing I do to reach
success is focusing on myself and not on others or what is going on around me. Another technique
for myself to be successful is to keep in mind what I really want and working towards my goals. My
last key point for success is working hard to make my own money. ... Show more content on

I show what and how much I actually know when I am either by myself or with all girls. I can't
choose who I have class with but I use this strength to better my weakness. I still try my best
whether there is all boys or all girls in my class.
Another thing to reach success is to focus on myself and not what is going on around me. When I
was younger I only cared to hang out with friends. School was not important to me, mainly because
everything felt too hard for me. Even though I have brothers, they weren't much of a help when it
came to school. The story The Secret To Raising Smart Kids by Carol S. Dweck talked about two
different mindsets people can have. One of them was a growth mindset and the other was a fixed
mindset. To have a growth mindset is to know that your intelligence can be molded. To have a fixed
mindset is to believe intelligence is something you are born with. I was always a students with a
fixed mindset. "They thought that a person with talent or intelligence did not need to work hard to
do well. Attributing a bad grade to their own lack of ability, those with a fixed mindset said that they
would study less in the future, try never to take that subject again and consider cheating on future
tests." (lines 120–124 pg. 24) This quote says that a person with a fixed mindset would put
themselves down my saying that other students don't need to do as much work as they did. It also

Muscular Dystrophy And Related Diseases
Muscular Dystrophy in Pediatric Patients
A muscular dystrophy is a group of diseases that is associated with progressive weakness and loss of
an individual's muscle mass. The condition causes the abnormal genes to interfere with the
production of proteins needed to form healthy muscles. There is no medical cure for muscular
dystrophy and related diseases, but strategies such as medication and therapy are used to manage the
symptoms and slow the course of the disease. There are more than 30 types of muscular dystrophy,
and the difference is based on the genes that cause it, the age when the symptoms appear first, how
quickly the disease progresses and the muscles it affects (Tecklin, 2015).
Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) and Becker ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A wider base of support along with ITB contractures is commonly associated with the disease.
Functional activities may still be conserve until the age of 6 or 7, by the age of 9–10 a rapidly
decline of functional activities is observable. On the other hand Becker muscular dystrophy is the
mildest version of the muscular conditions, individuals can maintain independent ambulation until
the age of 16. Etiology for BMD its very similar to DDM, however dystrophin production its
sufficient with good quantity and quality which will allow the breakdown to occur at slower rate
than DDM. Symptoms for BMD its usually present between the age of 5 and 15, however the onset
is variable, patients usually live until their fourth decade (Tecklin, 2015). Other clinical presentation
associated with both conditions are Cardiac, Gastrointestinal, Cognitive, and Respiratory
involvement.
Since the decline in motor activities over the course of the disease cannot be avoided, it is important
to use functional assessment scales for use in clinical follow–up, establishment of functional
diagnosis and therapeutic decisions making. Several functional scales exist for the assessment of
individuals with diseases associated with neuromuscular. Subsequently, the Vignos scale (VS) lays
more focus on functional activities involving the lower limbs

situation and future prospects–where on the scale from "exceptionally strong" to "alarmingly weak"

advertising, celebrity appeal (2 contracts), competitive low pricing in several segments, rebate offer,
and model availability. The company's resources weaknesses are in SQ rating, free shipping, retailer

The Ideal Business Model Of A Company
Part Ⅱ emphasizes opportunity and the importance of it. The author uses a whole sector to talk about
opportunity, so we can understand how crucial opportunity is to a company. For a CEO as me, I
need to understand how to not only seek opportunities but also seize them.
Ideal business is a dream for a company. It is the best business model in the most ideal environment
for a company, and the most optimal results for the company from that business model. A company
can set a direction based on the ideal business, and adjust the route to the ideal result. However, the
ideal business is just a model, and the company cannot regard it as a plan.
In order to set an ideal business, the first thing a CEO needs to know is the "dream" of the company:
what is the goal for our company in a period of time? The goal should be realistic and have some
difficulties to achieve, because if it is too easy to reach, the employees will not try their best, and the
company cannot develop. To set the goal, the CEO needs to discuss with the directors of each
department and ask about their advice. They do not need to provide a complete plan. Instead, they
need to tell the CEO what are their ideal markets and results for their departments. After
summarizing their ideal models, he needs to create the ideal business for the company and discuss it
with the shareholders. Sometimes, the shareholders can be unrealistic, so the CEO needs to convince
them that their ideal business should be realistic and

Strengths And Weaknesses Of Survey Research
10) Survey research – "Survey research is the most frequently used mode of observation in social
science research" which entails "asking people questions for research purposes" (Maxfield et al.,
2015, Chpt. 7). There are specific guidelines to follow when conducting a survey in order to get
accurate measurements. It is important to make sure all of the questions are exhaustive and mutually
exclusive meaning that there is an answer for every respondent and that each answer is a different
answer. When conducting a survey, you do not want a respondent having 0 and 0–5 as potential
answers because 0 is included in more than one answer leaving room for confusion and inaccurate
results. There are many different types of surveys that can be given: self–reported surveys, self–
administered surveys, computer based surveys, in person surveys, telephone surveys, etc. When
conducting a survey, it helps to have a target population you are trying to reach, a specific goal you
are trying to understand, and a reason why there is a need for the research. Strengths to survey
research are their ability to describe characteristics of a large population. Surveys are more cost
effective than some other methods. A weakness of survey research is how standardized it must be in
the sense that everyone is asked the exact same question leaving little room for going into detail
which in turn misses part of the topic. Another weakness to survey research is the obstacles when
trying to contact the target

Analysis Of The Art Of War By Sun Tzu
Book Analysis: The Art of War by Sun Tzu Ancient Chinese scholar Sun Tzu wrote The Art of War
more than 2000 years earlier, probably for kings, generals and solders of his time. However, this
book is still relevant in this high–tech modern world. It has still a powerful energy to work as a
useful guidance for modern times. The Art of War is actually about struggles and confrontation we
all go through in our daily lives. We as all face same kinds of dilemmas in our hearts and minds
when it comes to compete with real life challenges. Though the book was compiled as a military
advice in ancient times, it has potential to function as practical guide in all facets of life even today.
This book is guide for victory in life, but it is also about the art of war. At the same time, it is all
about self–awareness. It says "know the enemy and know yourself; in in hundred battles you will
never be in peril" . This is how Sun Tzu emphasises the importance of knowing about yourself. To
be able to be a winner in the challenges of life it is important to know your strengths and weakness.
If you are know yourself very well you should not worry about anything. Sun Tzu has made it very
clear that half battle is won when you have a better understanding of yourself. However, if you
neither know about yourself nor about your enemy, it means you are at a very high risk every time
you enter a competition. Therefore, to be successful in life, one must be aware about both himself
and the opposing

Strengths And Weaknesses
My second strength is creating an understanding of the task and reward relationship (Daft, 2014).
The employees I supervise are federal work study students. Federal work study students are allotted
a grant to work on campus while attending school. My job allows me to work with students in their
first professional setting. I use the time they are with me to teach them how a conduct themselves in
a structured office environment. I provide the students with rewards if they successfully complete
their assigned tasks. A few examples of the rewards are: opportunities to complete homework at
work, leaving early, and office banquets. My student workers often complete their tasks within the
designated timeframe to take advantage of the rewards available to them. My third strength is
punctuality. I always meet deadlines for projects, and I am often ahead of those deadlines. I design a
plan, explain the task assignments and timeframes to my employees, and coordinate the finished
result. An example of a project that was finished ahead of schedule is final high school transcripts.
Hundreds of transcripts arrive each year after the local high school graduations. During my first year
at the institution, it took six weeks to complete this project. Over the course of the next three years I
implemented changes to decrease the processing time to less than three weeks. Weaknesses I have
three distinct weaknesses as a transactional leader. My first weakness is the inability to motivate

Strengths And Weaknesses Of My Writing Class
This semester of my writing class, I have grown a new perspective on the word freedom. When
starting off, I only believed there to be one basic definition of this word. Now, I have learned that
there are two descriptive definitions and they are used in different ways. With all of the assignments
I have completed, I have found my strengths and weaknesses within my writing and have examined
methods on how to improve them efficiently. Along with that, I have used writing a tool to develop
my thoughts and process new ideas rather than just brimming the surface of the topic. Instead, I dug
deep into the readings and analyzed them in depth. Lastly, when I was stuck in any piece of work, I
sought help and used feedback that was given to me from my classmates, teacher, and the writing
center. Without my peers, I wouldn't have accomplished as much as I did this semester.
After I was done writing an assignment, that wasn't the end of my work, I still had to edit it over and
over until I found it to be acceptable. With doing this, I examined my own writing to find strengths
and weaknesses in order to push me to become a stronger writer. When looking for my strengths, I
found that I have a passion for writing and it is something that I truly enjoy doing. This has helped
me in my writing class, because it has made the assignments more fun and easier for me to
accomplish. However, I still have many weaknesses within my writing that requires room for
improvement. For example, a main

Essay about Good Country People
Good Country People "Woman, Do You Ever Look Inside?"
There are many themes within Flannery O'Connor's short story "Good Country People". Religion is
definitely one of the more prominent themes that the story holds. Like most of O'Connor's works, it
plays a big part in the actions or characteristics of the main characters. This is all on the surface
however. The more important and less accentuated theme is the various facades the characters create
for themselves. These facades prevent them from facing their true "grotesque" selves. These facades
also hide their weaknesses that they have no wish to face ort just can't understand. People must be
comfortable with every aspect of themselves, because certain people, who in this story ... Show

The quote acts as foreshadowing for what her attitude towards life will be. We later find out that she
is right, but that she does not live by her credo. Manley Pointer exploits this weakness as soon as she
opened her door. Showing up as a pathetic bible salesman with an ailing heart (which is
coincidentally exactly what Joy–Hulga had) laying the old guilt trip on Mrs. Hopewell on how no
one wants to deal with a simple country boy like himself, he attacks her weakness right at the heart
of it. Not more than two minutes after he knocked on the door, he ends up eating dinner with them
and at the conclusion is even invited to return any time he'd like. His persona blinds Mrs. Hopewell
and prevents her from being somewhat suspicious of Manley. At the end of the story, we see that
Mrs. Hopewell is still clouded by her weakness and refers to Manly as simple as he passes through a

realization of her weakness.
Joy–Hulga, who had grown cynical and cold as she grew up with only one leg and heart ailment,

Sports Management : A Broad Industry
1.1 Career Interests Sport management is a broad industry that offers many different opportunities in
different aspects of the industry. My personal interests deal more with the business aspect of sport,
specifically the financial aspect of the industry. The economics of sports is what interests me the
most. How sport organizations earn their revenue, how the salaries of players and coaches play a
role, the revenue earned by the sporting venues, and how do organizations handle their costs are all
things that I would like to figure out and be a part of. The sport industry drives from the economics
associated with the industry and how much revenue is coming in as opposed to the costs associated
with the industry. If there is no revenue coming in or no good balance between revenue and
expenses, that means that nobody is buying into sports whether it be fans, investors, or companies
willing to pitch in for an organization. If there is not a good control of the finances in the industry,
that means that there is no sport industry and I want to be a part of maintaining a good control of the
finances for a sport organization. Whether it be a professional team or maybe a collegiate program, I
want to become an important part of the team by helping to maintain financial stability.

died in august, I always think of him and hope he's in a better place than here. When people would
talk about their family members who passed away, I would always think about my grandpa. I will
forever love and miss him. My parents affect this positively because they taught me to be respectful,
compassionate, nice, caring and so many more. They show taught me manners and how to act in
public. They have had a HUGE impact on my social wellness.
What is an intellectual wellness? An intellectual wellness is when a person uses their resources and
creative mind to work with activities. Intellectual wellness is my weakest wellness because I don't
enjoy engaging or participating in intellectual discussions a lot. That's my weakness because I really
don't have any smart ideas like what intellectual people do. I sometimes even have ideas, but I never
share them because I think it's too dumb or it's a wrong idea to use. Even sometimes, I get shy when
I talk to new people, but when I'm with my friends, I just burst

Strengths And Weaknesses Of Family
My family of origin has given me a lot of strengths. They taught me to be a strong individual who
does not crumble when faced with obstacles. My parents faced a lot of obstacles and struggled to
feed seven children, but no matter how bad it got, they never showed us how much they worried and
stayed strong. Also, they taught me to care for and help others as much as I could because someday I
could be the one who needs help. By observing my mom, I have learned not to buy things that I do
not need and that materialistic things come later in life when you are financially stable. Hard work
and dedication to one's job is something that my parents have emphasized on many occasions.
However, I have also discovered many weaknesses of my origin family. Three of the weaknesses
that I will be discussing are communication, body image and education issues. The first weakness
that my family of origin had was communication. My parents had a very hard time effectively
communication their problems. My mom would often send insults or nag instead of sitting down and
discussing what issue she was having. My father would deny he could do any wrong and lie even
when he did nothing wrong. Both of my parents would often avoid discussion or confrontation of
their problems until it got unbearable and they exploded into argument. They would name call and
sometimes become physical by pushing each other and getting into each other's faces. My dad
would often try to get all the kids to takes sides by either involving us in the argument or bribing us
between fight sessions, which only made matters worse. Both of my parents used the authoritarian
parenting style that they had learned from their parents. "Because I said so," "Do as your told," and
"I'll give you something to cry about" were frequent phrases in use. We would never sit down and
discuss issues and they never explained why they said no.
According to Jordan Young and Paul Schrodt, the earliest context in which individuals learn
communication skills is within their family of origin (Young and Schrodt, 2016, p458). This
supports how I often find myself holding in my issues to the point of wanting to yell at my partner
because I cannot discuss my problems. However, I have been very

My Experience With Multiple Sclerosis
In my everyday world I don't think twice about how I am going to get through the day. Waking up,
getting dressed, and getting to school or work are very routine for me. I have been living life without
thinking about how those with disabilities get through their day. What struggles they might see that I
over look, such as brushing their teeth or eating a meal. So given the opportunity to experience just
how these individual's daily activities are with a neurological disorder helped me see just how lucky
I am. I have always been interested in the neurological aspect of therapy, and so I decided to
experience what it would be like to be someone with multiple sclerosis, or MS. I have never been
around anyone who has multiple sclerosis, so this was all new to me. Before I could even begin to
recreate multiple sclerosis I had to do some research on what it was. I found that multiple sclerosis
is an autoimmune disease that disturbs the nervous system.1 Those who have this disease have
destroyed myelin sheaths, causing the brain to improperly send signals throughout the body.
Multiple sclerosis symptoms can come and go due to triggers such as infections, known as
relapsing–remitting multiple sclerosis. While some people may have ... Show more content on

Case Study : ' Bored ' A Smartphone Application Essay
The SWOT presented is about a personal work: 'Bored', a smartphone application. The idea emerged
during a conversation between childhood friends: Elliott, Yohan, Kim and myself. The application's
fundamental objective is to allow people to go to events, such as cinemas or gigs, but not alone. An
application based on friendship and not about dating. Strengths – Opportunities The team is
certainly small, but it will be to our advantage: we can readjust quickly. This strength will optimise
one of our opportunities: releasing upgrades and providing new content. Indeed, we will be able to
move, react and morph dynamically due to the efficient and united team. That same opportunity will
be reinforced by our age range. The company members are between 20 years old and 25 years old:
an appropriate age range to be active and aware of the new trends happening. We know what is
'going on' around us. Strengths – Threats An other strength to bare in mind is the cost of the
application: free. This attractive costless characteristic is advantageous by reducing a substantial
risk: not having enough users. Something 'free' attracts people, and people attract people.
Undoubtedly, the success of the business will highly depends on it active user numbers. The more
the app is used, the better it will work. On the other hand most of the apps on smartphones stores are
free. Indeed, Flurry (2013) estimated that in 2013, 90% of the apps were free in the Apple Store, and

My Strengths And Weaknesses Of My Weaknesses
000864462 My Strengths and Weaknesses I believe that life is a learning experience. We must
reinforce our weaknesses until there become our strengths. And also we are just human, not
superman, we have our own weaknesses, we make mistakes, and we experience sadness, but we will
learn from all these things to make us be a better person. As we know, success is achieved by
developing our strengths, not by eliminating our weaknesses. For me, I said that the weaknesses are
not a stumbling block to success, but it is an indispensable factor to the road of success. Now, I will
share my personal strengths and weaknesses and explain how I plan to overcome my weaknesses in
my life. One of my greatest strengths is I am a comparison people. I am a good helper towards those

The reason I love dogs because the dog is loyal and faithful to his master. His master might be a

also don't have such noble character. For lending a hand and spreading the message of responsible
ownership and animal protection, I joined the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals

Essay about My Strengths and Weaknesses as a Writer
The art of writing is a complex and difficult process. Proper writing requires careful planning,
revision, and proofreading. Throughout the past semester, the quality of my writing has evolved
significantly. At first, I struggled with the separation of different types of paragraphs, and I found
writing them laborious. Constant practice, however, has eliminated many of my original difficulties,
and helped to inspire confidence in my skills. As a collegiate writer, my strength lies in my clear
understanding of the fundamentals of writing, while my primary weakness is proofreading my own
work. During the transition from a high school writer to a collegiate writer, my strength at
understanding the basic principles of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Finding an introductory paragraph that hooks the reader can be troublesome, but throughout the
course, I have spent considerable time developing that technique. The body of my arguments each
exhibit strong support for the thesis. In addition, my conclusions summarize the papers without
restating unnecessary information. Overall, my comprehension of the basic format of an argument
has proved to be a valuable asset. The weakest portion of my writing is my lack of good
proofreading. All papers require a significant amount of proofreading not only for grammatical
errors, but also for structural problems. Proofreading my own work is difficult. Many times, I
wrongly assume that the reader is able to understand my thoughts, while the various points of my
argument are actually not expressed clearly. In some instances, I fail to catch obvious errors, such as
sentence fragments or contractions, which I should be able to eliminate easily from my writing.
Proofreading my own work has consistently been the most difficult part of my writing process, and I
continue to struggle with catching all of the errors in my papers. Analyzing my strengths and
weaknesses as a writer is extremely important. Despite the fact that I understand the structure of a
good argument, I still miss obvious errors in my papers because I lack the skills necessary to
properly proofread my own work. In the future, I plan on spending a large portion of my time

What Are The Strengths And Weaknesses Of Uber
Without a doubt, at the rate Uber is growing now, the future to expand into international markets
like Canada looks very bright. However, in order to roll out an expansion as large as this it is
necessary to capitalize on Uber's strengths, and connect those strengths to external opportunities. In
my SWOT diagram I have chosen to outline the strengths and opportunities that best support each
other. To start, one of Uber's main strengths is that their price and efficiency is highly superior when
compared to a traditional taxi service. Uber can use their lower pricing, and shorter wait time to
entice consumers that are opportunely unsatisfied with conventional taxi rates. Along with this, Uber
was one of the first to launch a service with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another opportunity that follows this is that as the company grows, there will be a rise in company
drivers as well. This will only better Uber's strength in efficiency; having more drivers around will
increase the chance that the driver's will be in close proximity of customers. Many of the other
strengths I highlighted in this SWOT diagram were based on the cost of operation for Uber being
relatively low. Therefore, money that is saved on operational cost can be spent on exploiting
opportunities to expand into new markets (Canada), or alternative consumer needs (moving trucks).
However, expansions for the American company wont be easy when taking into account the internal
weaknesses and external threats that they face. One of Uber's main weaknesses is lack of
differentiation among competition. There is really nothing in place to stop consumers, or drivers for
that matter from flipping to a new company if they are offered a better deal. Lack of consumer and
driver loyalty is based on the fact that the driving app allows for minimal connection between the
clients or drivers, and the actual company of

Book Report On My College Career
Let me start by saying that I've improved somewhat throughout this course in regards to my writing
capabilities. Though these skills are not perfect by any standards, it's with some pride that I can say
that they've developed somewhat. Specifically speaking, the categorizing of information from
various articles with attribution to them when they're used has gone up significantly. There were
many times along the way that I would use the author's ideas without properly accrediting them.
Finding the information and resources to best suit my arguments was not an issue; however,
incorporating citations to give credit to them was an issue. This letter will be mainly focused on the
first paper, the summary, as it was my weakest attempt at writing a college level paper.
Since the summary paper was the first paper I've written for my college career, I can firmly assert
that it was the paper I was most confused on as to what was necessary to make it into a success. I
felt as though I had managed to get many of the author's views out into the open at the cost of some
misinterpretation and unused in–text citation. McClelland's ideas often mixed with my own, which
served as a slippery slope to losing the context of who said what as you pointed out within the
comments on the paper. A specific example would be in paragraph two of the unrevised paper 1.
Another thing that ended up hindering my paper was the underdevelopment of some of the most
important points to McClelland's argument

Self Reflection On My Writing And Learning Process Essay
Self–reflection on my Writing and Learning Process
I think self–reflection, or a careful cogitation of one's personal work, is very important. It will help
me think about my strengths and weaknesses in my writing skills and learning process, so that I can
improve my weaknesses in the future and become a better writer. I believe, I have many strengths
and many weaknesses that can be seen transparently through my drafts, revisions, and final essays,
or writings, this semester. My overall strength includes the ability to pick out good examples from
articles and the ability to construct good development of my body paragraphs after my revisions. On
the other hand, my overall weakness includes having some unclear explanation of thoughts, unclear
topic sentences, confusing thesis statements, having undefined terms, difficulties transitioning from
one idea to another. I have learned that to have a good essay, I must revise my papers more than
once because there are always flaws that can be fixed or improved. My writing process has evolved
from having difficulties writing down or explaining my thought process to being able to explain and
clarify examples to help support my thesis statement.
I am good at picking quotes that will support my argument. This skill can be seen through multiple
drafts that I have written. For instance, in assignment 1, draft 1, I claimed that Richard Rodriguez is
rude when describing his opponents. For my quotes, I pulled negative words that Rodriguez used

Lord Of The Flies Character Analysis
The Lord of Flies, by William Golding, is about a group of boys who get in a plane crash and have
to find a way to survive. They don't know what happened, but they need a leader to make important
decisions. There are three boys on the island who all could be the leader. With the three boys, only
one can be a leader. The whole group chooses a leader, either Piggy, Jack, or Ralph. With all the
weakness they have and strength they have they all could be a leader, but only one will be and
hopefully the one with the best strength and least weakness. One boy named Ralph (fair boy), has
many strengths that could make him a leader, but he also has many weaknesses of being a leader.
Ralph is an overly confident/doesn't appreciate other very good kind of guy that makes a weak
leader. He doesn't appreciate the things that are done for him or things he doesn't like. He is very
confident in his dad that he is going to be rescue them off the island, but nobody knows where they
are because they crashed. With all the weakness Ralph has he also have good strengths. One of
Ralph strengths is he not very controlling, he doesn't take things away like the choir he knows it
belongs to jacks so he nice about things. Another strength is he doesn't show weakness. When Piggy
tells Ralph he is upset about being called Piggy, the narrator states, "Ralph...hovered between the
two courses of apology or further insult" (Golding 25). He not rude to people, but he not nice, he
shows that he a strong leader

The most hardest one to work on has to be peer resistance skills. I usually sometimes give up very
easily, for example when I can't get a problem right and I keep trying, I would give up and guess. I
have been working on it about a couple weeks, and it had improved by doing problems until I know
it is right.. I still believe peer resistance skills is my weakness since I usually keep going back in
forth about giving up and not giving up over simple things. Usually when something very upsetting
comes up, I usually get upset a long period of time. Coping skills is difficult to deal with too but
easy to make a solution for. For example, you can knit, read, listen to music, talk to friends, and etc.
These skills are really hard to handle but I think I could make them into my strengths if I work hard
and believe in myself. Strengths and weaknesses can be a struggle at a period of time. If you only
focus on one point of a subject, you might not realize your other subjects will be weak. Weaknesses
can be easily handle but people don't know how to react. This is where the term, goals can solve for
both strengths and weaknesses. For an example, you could set a goal to work on your
communication skills by talking to your classmates or close friends. It doesn't matter if it's a long–
term goal or a short–term since, you would work hard for one or more goals you have in mind. The

Throughout one's life, one's life one will develop a set of weaknesses and fears, caused by the nature

reflection might one find the deep causes of the way in which they are. I have developed for myself

as well as the fear of loneliness and rejection. Through research regarding the psychological,

The fear of loneliness, social isolation can start with our first agent of socialization, family. This has
been the strongest influence as I have separated parents, the idea of never having a full single family
can lead to the fear of not having someone. Friends also lend to this, being afraid of losing friends
from missing out on experiences. A sociologist may explain this through conflict theory. Where
because of how they believe society is based on power and social conflict the fear of being lonely
may lend to the idea of losing power and therefore society breaking apart. Fear as a whole is the
innate need to not be hurt. The specific fear of loneliness is the innate need to be accepted by others,
the fear of losing them and ultimately being alone. Culturally, this fear can be derived from other
relationships and the social constructs of monogamy and ideal families. As well as media and the
over–glorification of everyday lives. Through media, the term FOMO or Fear of Missing Out was
developed. No one wants to feel lesser and these cultural aspects are propelling idealist propaganda.
Chemically this may relate to GABA where if you don't have it or less of it, you get your ears
excessively heightened. A scientific study by Scientific American found that "The study of fear in

Examples Of Being Weak In Othello
Being weak comes in a mental and physical form. Being mentally weak is to have no sign of resolve
to make something wrong, right, or to be afraid of someone. Being physically weak is to have no
power against someone more superior. And no one wants to match these descriptions. Which is why
in society, some people tend to act tough and strong on the outside, to hide their true powerless,
weak self. These two signs of weakness and action fits Desdemona, the wife of a Venetian general,
in Shakespeare's play, Othello. Desdemona's husband is the main character, Othello. Due to
Othello's high position in Venice, Desdemona tends to get overconfident with her own power, and at
times even think she is more superior than Othello. This leads to a scene where she promises Cassio,
an ex–lieutenant, that she would have Othello return his lieutenancy. Despite the fact that
Desdemona seems to be a strong, confident woman at the beginning, towards the end of the play her

Venice, or some unhatched practice made demonstrable here in Cyprus to him, hath puddled his

Destination Fitness, like most new businesses, will face a variety of economic issues. Whether it's
from internal weaknesses of the organization or external threats to the company, the organization
must be prepared to overcome these obstacles. One of the biggest external threats to the economic
success of Destination Fitness it the economy itself. Although the economy is steadily recovering
from the recession, disposable income still comes at a premium for many people. In order to
convince customers to become members they must, first and foremost, make it financially attractive
to them. Keeping membership costs low will entice new customers through the door. After that it is
up to the staff to make customers realize that their biggest investment should be to invest in their
own health and well being. Another threat that Destination Fitness faces is the time constraints many
drivers have. In order to meet there deadlines drivers have little time other than to sleep. In order to
combat this, programs that are offered must utilize time efficiently and be able to bring results

Comparing My Beliefs Of Captain America And Captain America
As regular human beings, we presume we couldn't ever compare ourselves to the superheroes we
perceive in comic books or on a movie or TV screen. We believe this because superheroes are
admired and ideal people who own superpowers, superpowers that have the ability to make the
world a better place. Yet, what we don't see is other than the superpowers, we aren't too different.
Superheroes have strengths and weaknesses, passions and morals as we do. I myself, feel as though
I can compare my strengths and weaknesses with Captain America, also known as Steve Rogers.
Captain America is my hero of choice because he possesses noble morals and beliefs that allow him
to always form the right choice, he deeply cares for others and is extremely humane. Lastly, another
strength we both have in common is the leadership and collaboration it takes to lead or be a part of a
team. Pre–eminently, Captain America had strong morals and beliefs before he ever became Captain
America. He believes and knows what it means to be a good person, what it means to not be
immoral. He conjectures that even though people have villainous intent in the world, they can have
some good in them. He likes to help those who are immoral instead of trying to punish them
immediately for what they've done. He'd rather sacrifice himself before harming others, showing
that he values innocent lives over his own. A weakness he has is that he finds himself between the
lines of what's considered morally right and what he

Leadership Course Analysis

  • 1. Leadership Course Analysis Reflection paper At the beginning of this course, I was curious as to how it would develop. The following is a reflection on how the course has impacted me in both learning, expectations as a new leader, and my everyday working life. I found that when I took the three leadership evaluation tools, the results were not far off from what I expected. These results made me feel positive about myself and the direction that I have intended on driving my career towards. These tools further identify where my weaknesses are as well as where my strengths lie. Although I find that this journey is frightening it has proven rewarding , as well as a diverse and complex trek. Complexity Principles Reflection In the light of health professional education ... Yet, despite the difficulties and sometimes frightening prospects, the rewards that can be gained from inspiring others and developing into a great leader are invaluable. Reflecting on where I have been, where I am currently at and where I am going in my journey is exciting to say the least. Every step is filled with excitement, and a bit of trepidation. As long as the road to success lies in the realm of possibility, I plan to walk that path and realize my goals by becoming a leader who builds better partnerships and thrives in the quantum ... • 5. Strength In John Steinbeck's Of Mice And Men Having to be strong can be really beneficial for you. Although your strengths can be visible at times, there can be some signs of weakness present in your life. Although they may not obvious to you, they can be obvious to others. The same is represented in the story, Of Mice and Men. Strength and weakness can be present during the story through physical, mental, or emotional challenges, but how can you understand of they are either weak or strong? To understand this, you'll need to know what the setting is. If you have read the story, you should know that this book took place during the 1930s, in the middle of the great depression. During that time, people weren't treated correctly by those who are more dominant than the others. When showing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... How strength can be present in the story from the time when George goes Lennie, and shoots his skull. The reason why George has done this, is because Lennie's physical strength is too powerful with a combination of his mental weakness where Lennie can't control it. This leads to the murder of Curley's wife and her broken neck. After her death, some of the characters of the story thinks that killing Lennie is "Justified", but what was done has to done. George knew that his American Dream is now over because of the death of Curley's wife. So in order to prevent any future harm to others, George decided to kill Lennie. When George finally found Lennie, he talked about their american dream. While talking about their dream, George then started to pick up a pistol to finally end the story by killing Lennie. This is supported by "And George raised the gun and steadied it... He pulled the trigger" (Steinbeck 106). Even though it's sad to see that Lennie died, George was both mentally and emotionally strong to know what what was done is done. For emotional weakness, Lennie shows his emotional instability about not being able to tend the rabbits for the dream farm after killing both a puppy and a human being. You can see when Lennie starts to hallucinate where the giant rabbit talks about how lennie will never them "If you think George gonna let you tend rabbits, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. The Beach Descriptive Essay A dark lane, dark towers and a pitch gloomy sun passed by me as I followed my path beneath a cloak of darkness. As I walked down Grey Street, I outstretched for that recognisable wall but didn't find anything to guide me further. Through walls, through windows, perhaps right beside me I was exposed to expressions reverberating in puzzlement. As I carefully strolled down the lane, I know you sympathised me. Your glorious gift allowed me to see the elegant and vibrant horizon, disperse into a brilliant mixture of colours alongside the glimmering crystal. As the unforgiving light exposed the world's paleness and blemishes, I know you had the gift of seeing the specks of sand flicker above the ground, For I was trapped in darkness. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In my frantic surge to escape from my nightmare, I grasped my lantern and tossed it across the ground. I felt no remorse as I heard it smash into tiny fragments along the grey tiles. What good was a lantern when light failed to exist? My mother swept the pieces to the side of the household and sat by my side As I glance upon her face filled with emotion, nothing but darkness watched down on me. It was a silent reminder that I would never see her expression again; that I would never see her giggle at times of pure joy. At that moment my entire body filled with agony. When I asked her if all had been lost, I heard a calm yawn as she drew me into her arms. She told me that there is no light without darkness, that my ability to choose my answer; to alter my decisions in an unchanged situation will never be taken from me. She voiced that this world could be sculpture for my thoughts and inspiration. One autumn morning, A minor echo in the distance awakened me. A bleak thin gust of wind swept past my face roaring and rattling along the housetops, as fragrances of peach and jasmine overpowered my nostrils. The vague echo became a vibration as I felt it come closer and closer like the grumble of a hurrying cavalry. The gusty winds sent leaves lightly trembling down onto the ground, making no sound effects. Branches intertwined in and out of each other as if they were in there own private dance. • 21. Social Responsibility And Its Impact On Society As human beings, we need and seek accountability; we are driven by the need to know and to be in the know. We rely on the ability to conclude swiftly and truthfully. The more we understand the better grasp we can take about a situation. However, the idea of social responsibility is one that seems to continually be ignored or missed by many. More often than not, the ones we place as a pillar of society are the frequent offenders of this act. Many fail to rise to the occasion and accept accountability for the consequences of their actions while accountability and responsibility fall hand in hand. We must learn to accept responsibly as a community, not only for each other's actions but ours as well. We learn that one action does, in fact, speak for the whole. Together we will critically evaluate the societal claim that we fail to accept responsibility and accountability due to the impression of community pillars, the morals and ethics we hold, and the effects of the societal social groups. Those often that hold roles with great responsibility are ones we revere with great fervor, from doctors and priests to public figures heads and teachers. We instantly hold these people to a higher standard, compared to that of a cars salesman. We expect these people to make clear level headed decisions and accept the responsibilities that the job or title come with. • 29. Swot SWOT Analysis BUS/211 December 22, 2014 Jamie L. Welch SWOT Analysis In any business, there are factors that you have to examine to decide how effective a business will be. Among these factors are strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Each of these must be fully examined to determine whether or not the business is able to survive. In the business plan for "Mike's Trucking Service", there is evidence of all of these factors. Luckily, Mike's is aware that they will face this issue and have already made it a point to ensure that the customers that do use their services are pleased. Opportunities While being a new business does have its downfalls, it also comes with many opportunities. The lack of prior indication of customer service means that people are going to be more willing to give them a chance. After all, no reviews are better than negative reviews. This will give them a chance to provide wonderful customer service and gain referrals from pleased customers. An even bigger opportunity lies in the fact that the business is a trucking company. While they are starting in Dallas, they are looking to eventually expand beyond the metroplex. Due to the nature of the trucking industry, the business could potentially expand all over the continental United States. The possibility for such huge expansion will be a great opportunity for the company as it continues to grow. Threats Mike's Trucking is going to face threats as they get on their feet. Trucking is a huge industry and there are already numerous companies that provide the services that Mike is offering. Many of these companies even target the same industry – food. I have read some stories that all have dealt with someone aiming for success. The stories I read are A Right To Choose Single–Sex Education, Next Term, We'll Mash You, Raising Smart Kids, A Walk To The Jetty, and ILE. There are four techniques I use to be successful. The first is knowing my strengths and weaknesses. The second thing I do to reach success is focusing on myself and not on others or what is going on around me. Another thing to reach success is to focus on myself and not what is going on around me. When I was younger I only cared to hang out with friends. School was not important to me, mainly because everything felt too hard for me. Even though I have brothers, they weren't much of a help when it came to school. The story The Secret To Raising Smart Kids by Carol S. Dweck talked about two different mindsets people can have. One of them was a growth mindset and the other was a fixed mindset. To have a growth mindset is to know that your intelligence can be molded. To have a fixed mindset is to believe intelligence is something you are born with. I was always a students with a fixed mindset. "They thought that a person with talent or intelligence did not need to work hard to do well. Attributing a bad grade to their own lack of ability, those with a fixed mindset said that they would study less in the future, try never to take that subject again and consider cheating on future tests." Muscular Dystrophy And Related Diseases Muscular Dystrophy in Pediatric Patients A muscular dystrophy is a group of diseases that is associated with progressive weakness and loss of an individual's muscle mass. The condition causes the abnormal genes to interfere with the production of proteins needed to form healthy muscles. There is no medical cure for muscular dystrophy and related diseases, but strategies such as medication and therapy are used to manage the symptoms and slow the course of the disease. There are more than 30 types of muscular dystrophy, and the difference is based on the genes that cause it, the age when the symptoms appear first, how quickly the disease progresses and the muscles it affects (Tecklin, 2015). On the other hand Becker muscular dystrophy is the mildest version of the muscular conditions, individuals can maintain independent ambulation until the age of 16. Etiology for BMD its very similar to DDM, however dystrophin production its sufficient with good quantity and quality which will allow the breakdown to occur at slower rate than DDM. Symptoms for BMD its usually present between the age of 5 and 15, however the onset is variable, patients usually live until their fourth decade (Tecklin, 2015). • 45. The Ideal Business Model Of A Company Part Ⅱ emphasizes opportunity and the importance of it. The author uses a whole sector to talk about opportunity, so we can understand how crucial opportunity is to a company. For a CEO as me, I need to understand how to not only seek opportunities but also seize them. Ideal business is a dream for a company. It is the best business model in the most ideal environment for a company, and the most optimal results for the company from that business model. A company can set a direction based on the ideal business, and adjust the route to the ideal result. However, the ideal business is just a model, and the company cannot regard it as a plan. In order to set an ideal business, the first thing a CEO needs to know is the "dream" of the company: what is the goal for our company in a period of time? The goal should be realistic and have some difficulties to achieve, because if it is too easy to reach, the employees will not try their best, and the company cannot develop. To set the goal, the CEO needs to discuss with the directors of each department and ask about their advice. They do not need to provide a complete plan. Instead, they need to tell the CEO what are their ideal markets and results for their departments. After summarizing their ideal models, he needs to create the ideal business for the company and discuss it with the shareholders. Sometimes, the shareholders can be unrealistic, so the CEO needs to convince them that their ideal business should be realistic and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Strengths And Weaknesses Of Survey Research 10) Survey research – "Survey research is the most frequently used mode of observation in social science research" which entails "asking people questions for research purposes" (Maxfield et al., 2015, Chpt. 7). There are specific guidelines to follow when conducting a survey in order to get accurate measurements. It is important to make sure all of the questions are exhaustive and mutually exclusive meaning that there is an answer for every respondent and that each answer is a different answer. When conducting a survey, you do not want a respondent having 0 and 0–5 as potential answers because 0 is included in more than one answer leaving room for confusion and inaccurate results. There are many different types of surveys that can be given: self–reported surveys, self– administered surveys, computer based surveys, in person surveys, telephone surveys, etc. When conducting a survey, it helps to have a target population you are trying to reach, a specific goal you are trying to understand, and a reason why there is a need for the research. Strengths to survey research are their ability to describe characteristics of a large population. Surveys are more cost effective than some other methods. A weakness of survey research is how standardized it must be in the sense that everyone is asked the exact same question leaving little room for going into detail which in turn misses part of the topic. Another weakness to survey research is the obstacles when trying to contact the target ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 53. Analysis Of The Art Of War By Sun Tzu Book Analysis: The Art of War by Sun Tzu Ancient Chinese scholar Sun Tzu wrote The Art of War more than 2000 years earlier, probably for kings, generals and solders of his time. However, this book is still relevant in this high–tech modern world. It has still a powerful energy to work as a useful guidance for modern times. The Art of War is actually about struggles and confrontation we all go through in our daily lives. We as all face same kinds of dilemmas in our hearts and minds when it comes to compete with real life challenges. Though the book was compiled as a military advice in ancient times, it has potential to function as practical guide in all facets of life even today. This book is guide for victory in life, but it is also about the art of war. At the same time, it is all about self–awareness. It says "know the enemy and know yourself; in in hundred battles you will never be in peril" . This is how Sun Tzu emphasises the importance of knowing about yourself. To be able to be a winner in the challenges of life it is important to know your strengths and weakness. If you are know yourself very well you should not worry about anything. Sun Tzu has made it very clear that half battle is won when you have a better understanding of yourself. However, if you neither know about yourself nor about your enemy, it means you are at a very high risk every time you enter a competition. Therefore, to be successful in life, one must be aware about both himself and the opposing ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 57. Strengths And Weaknesses My second strength is creating an understanding of the task and reward relationship (Daft, 2014). The employees I supervise are federal work study students. Federal work study students are allotted a grant to work on campus while attending school. My job allows me to work with students in their first professional setting. I use the time they are with me to teach them how a conduct themselves in a structured office environment. I provide the students with rewards if they successfully complete their assigned tasks. A few examples of the rewards are: opportunities to complete homework at work, leaving early, and office banquets. My student workers often complete their tasks within the designated timeframe to take advantage of the rewards available to them. My third strength is punctuality. I always meet deadlines for projects, and I am often ahead of those deadlines. I design a plan, explain the task assignments and timeframes to my employees, and coordinate the finished result. An example of a project that was finished ahead of schedule is final high school transcripts. Hundreds of transcripts arrive each year after the local high school graduations. During my first year at the institution, it took six weeks to complete this project. Over the course of the next three years I implemented changes to decrease the processing time to less than three weeks. Weaknesses I have three distinct weaknesses as a transactional leader. • 61. Strengths And Weaknesses Of My Writing Class This semester of my writing class, I have grown a new perspective on the word freedom. When starting off, I only believed there to be one basic definition of this word. Now, I have learned that there are two descriptive definitions and they are used in different ways. With all of the assignments I have completed, I have found my strengths and weaknesses within my writing and have examined methods on how to improve them efficiently. Along with that, I have used writing a tool to develop my thoughts and process new ideas rather than just brimming the surface of the topic. Instead, I dug deep into the readings and analyzed them in depth. Lastly, when I was stuck in any piece of work, I sought help and used feedback that was given to me from my classmates, teacher, and the writing center. Without my peers, I wouldn't have accomplished as much as I did this semester. After I was done writing an assignment, that wasn't the end of my work, I still had to edit it over and over until I found it to be acceptable. With doing this, I examined my own writing to find strengths and weaknesses in order to push me to become a stronger writer. When looking for my strengths, I found that I have a passion for writing and it is something that I truly enjoy doing. This has helped me in my writing class, because it has made the assignments more fun and easier for me to accomplish. However, I still have many weaknesses within my writing that requires room for improvement. For example, a main ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Personal Strengths and Weaknesses Essay Personal Strengths and weaknesses Writing about my personal strengths is a challenging task that requires me to focus on the strong points that make up my character. While, however; speaking on my weaknesses, tend not to be such a problematical task. • 69. Essay about Good Country People Good Country People "Woman, Do You Ever Look Inside?" There are many themes within Flannery O'Connor's short story "Good Country People". Religion is definitely one of the more prominent themes that the story holds. Like most of O'Connor's works, it plays a big part in the actions or characteristics of the main characters. This is all on the surface however. The more important and less accentuated theme is the various facades the characters create for themselves. These facades prevent them from facing their true "grotesque" selves. These facades also hide their weaknesses that they have no wish to face ort just can't understand. People must be comfortable with every aspect of themselves, because certain people, who in this story ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Not more than two minutes after he knocked on the door, he ends up eating dinner with them and at the conclusion is even invited to return any time he'd like. His persona blinds Mrs. Hopewell and prevents her from being somewhat suspicious of Manley. At the end of the story, we see that Mrs. Hopewell is still clouded by her weakness and refers to Manly as simple as he passes through a field by Mrs. Hopewell and Mrs. Freeman. Unlike Mrs. Hopewell, Joy–Hulga faces and comes to a realization of her weakness. Joy–Hulga, who had grown cynical and cold as she grew up with only one leg and heart ailment, creates an image that she is smarter and better than the rest of the characters in the story. My personal interests deal more with the business aspect of sport, specifically the financial aspect of the industry. The economics of sports is what interests me the most. How sport organizations earn their revenue, how the salaries of players and coaches play a role, the revenue earned by the sporting venues, and how do organizations handle their costs are all things that I would like to figure out and be a part of. The sport industry drives from the economics associated with the industry and how much revenue is coming in as opposed to the costs associated with the industry. If there is no revenue coming in or no good balance between revenue and expenses, that means that nobody is buying into sports whether it be fans, investors, or companies willing to pitch in for an organization. If there is not a good control of the finances in the industry, that means that there is no sport industry and I want to be a part of maintaining a good control of the finances for a sport organization. • 81. Strengths And Weaknesses Of Family My family of origin has given me a lot of strengths. They taught me to be a strong individual who does not crumble when faced with obstacles. My parents faced a lot of obstacles and struggled to feed seven children, but no matter how bad it got, they never showed us how much they worried and stayed strong. Also, they taught me to care for and help others as much as I could because someday I could be the one who needs help. By observing my mom, I have learned not to buy things that I do not need and that materialistic things come later in life when you are financially stable. Hard work and dedication to one's job is something that my parents have emphasized on many occasions. However, I have also discovered many weaknesses of my origin family. Three of the weaknesses that I will be discussing are communication, body image and education issues. The first weakness that my family of origin had was communication. My parents had a very hard time effectively communication their problems. My mom would often send insults or nag instead of sitting down and discussing what issue she was having. My father would deny he could do any wrong and lie even when he did nothing wrong. Both of my parents would often avoid discussion or confrontation of their problems until it got unbearable and they exploded into argument. They would name call and sometimes become physical by pushing each other and getting into each other's faces. My dad would often try to get all the kids to takes sides by either involving us in the argument or bribing us between fight sessions, which only made matters worse. Both of my parents used the authoritarian parenting style that they had learned from their parents. "Because I said so," "Do as your told," and "I'll give you something to cry about" were frequent phrases in use. We would never sit down and discuss issues and they never explained why they said no. According to Jordan Young and Paul Schrodt, the earliest context in which individuals learn communication skills is within their family of origin (Young and Schrodt, 2016, p458). This supports how I often find myself holding in my issues to the point of wanting to yell at my partner because I cannot discuss my problems. However, I have been very ... The idea emerged during a conversation between childhood friends: Elliott, Yohan, Kim and myself. The application's fundamental objective is to allow people to go to events, such as cinemas or gigs, but not alone. An application based on friendship and not about dating. Strengths – Opportunities The team is certainly small, but it will be to our advantage: we can readjust quickly. This strength will optimise one of our opportunities: releasing upgrades and providing new content. Indeed, we will be able to move, react and morph dynamically due to the efficient and united team. That same opportunity will be reinforced by our age range. The company members are between 20 years old and 25 years old: an appropriate age range to be active and aware of the new trends happening. We know what is 'going on' around us. Strengths – Threats An other strength to bare in mind is the cost of the application: free. This attractive costless characteristic is advantageous by reducing a substantial risk: not having enough users. Something 'free' attracts people, and people attract people. Throughout the past semester, the quality of my writing has evolved significantly. At first, I struggled with the separation of different types of paragraphs, and I found writing them laborious. Constant practice, however, has eliminated many of my original difficulties, and helped to inspire confidence in my skills. Finding an introductory paragraph that hooks the reader can be troublesome, but throughout the course, I have spent considerable time developing that technique. The body of my arguments each exhibit strong support for the thesis. In addition, my conclusions summarize the papers without restating unnecessary information. Overall, my comprehension of the basic format of an argument has proved to be a valuable asset. The weakest portion of my writing is my lack of good proofreading. All papers require a significant amount of proofreading not only for grammatical errors, but also for structural problems. Proofreading my own work is difficult. Many times, I wrongly assume that the reader is able to understand my thoughts, while the various points of my argument are actually not expressed clearly. In some instances, I fail to catch obvious errors, such as sentence fragments or contractions, which I should be able to eliminate easily from my writing. Proofreading my own work has consistently been the most difficult part of my writing process, and I continue to struggle with catching all of the errors in my papers. Analyzing my strengths and weaknesses as a writer is extremely important. However, in order to roll out an expansion as large as this it is necessary to capitalize on Uber's strengths, and connect those strengths to external opportunities. In my SWOT diagram I have chosen to outline the strengths and opportunities that best support each other. To start, one of Uber's main strengths is that their price and efficiency is highly superior when compared to a traditional taxi service. Uber can use their lower pricing, and shorter wait time to entice consumers that are opportunely unsatisfied with conventional taxi rates. Along with this, Uber was one of the first to launch a service with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another opportunity that follows this is that as the company grows, there will be a rise in company drivers as well. This will only better Uber's strength in efficiency; having more drivers around will increase the chance that the driver's will be in close proximity of customers. Many of the other strengths I highlighted in this SWOT diagram were based on the cost of operation for Uber being relatively low. Therefore, money that is saved on operational cost can be spent on exploiting opportunities to expand into new markets (Canada), or alternative consumer needs (moving trucks). However, expansions for the American company wont be easy when taking into account the internal weaknesses and external threats that they face. One of Uber's main weaknesses is lack of differentiation among competition. There is really nothing in place to stop consumers, or drivers for that matter from flipping to a new company if they are offered a better deal. Lack of consumer and driver loyalty is based on the fact that the driving app allows for minimal connection between the clients or drivers, and the actual company of ... Though these skills are not perfect by any standards, it's with some pride that I can say that they've developed somewhat. Specifically speaking, the categorizing of information from various articles with attribution to them when they're used has gone up significantly. There were many times along the way that I would use the author's ideas without properly accrediting them. McClelland's ideas often mixed with my own, which served as a slippery slope to losing the context of who said what as you pointed out within the comments on the paper. When it comes to putting the skills to the test I feel a bit more comfortable talking about it or initiating it. When it comes to taking about conflict management and giving comfort feel more skilled than before. • 125. Self Reflection On My Writing And Learning Process Essay Self–reflection on my Writing and Learning Process I think self–reflection, or a careful cogitation of one's personal work, is very important. It will help me think about my strengths and weaknesses in my writing skills and learning process, so that I can improve my weaknesses in the future and become a better writer. I believe, I have many strengths and many weaknesses that can be seen transparently through my drafts, revisions, and final essays, or writings, this semester. My overall strength includes the ability to pick out good examples from articles and the ability to construct good development of my body paragraphs after my revisions. On the other hand, my overall weakness includes having some unclear explanation of thoughts, unclear topic sentences, confusing thesis statements, having undefined terms, difficulties transitioning from one idea to another. I have learned that to have a good essay, I must revise my papers more than once because there are always flaws that can be fixed or improved. My writing process has evolved from having difficulties writing down or explaining my thought process to being able to explain and clarify examples to help support my thesis statement. I am good at picking quotes that will support my argument. This skill can be seen through multiple drafts that I have written. For instance, in assignment 1, draft 1, I claimed that Richard Rodriguez is rude when describing his opponents. For my quotes, I pulled negative words that Rodriguez used ... • 129. Lord Of The Flies Character Analysis The Lord of Flies, by William Golding, is about a group of boys who get in a plane crash and have to find a way to survive. They don't know what happened, but they need a leader to make important decisions. There are three boys on the island who all could be the leader. With the three boys, only one can be a leader. The whole group chooses a leader, either Piggy, Jack, or Ralph. With all the weakness they have and strength they have they all could be a leader, but only one will be and hopefully the one with the best strength and least weakness. One boy named Ralph (fair boy), has many strengths that could make him a leader, but he also has many weaknesses of being a leader. Ralph is an overly confident/doesn't appreciate other very good kind of guy that makes a weak leader. He doesn't appreciate the things that are done for him or things he doesn't like. He is very confident in his dad that he is going to be rescue them off the island, but nobody knows where they are because they crashed. With all the weakness Ralph has he also have good strengths. One of Ralph strengths is he not very controlling, he doesn't take things away like the choir he knows it belongs to jacks so he nice about things. Another strength is he doesn't show weakness. When Piggy tells Ralph he is upset about being called Piggy, the narrator states, "Ralph...hovered between the two courses of apology or further insult" (Golding 25). He not rude to people, but he not nice, he shows that he a strong leader ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 133. Seven Life Management Research Paper Everyone has weakness and strengths in the seven life management skills. Every year people have been doing decisions or skills that may affect them tremendously or not at all. Usually, people don't recognize situation or list the possibilities which will affect them in every way. Others don't even understand what life management skills are. They are abilities that you have to learn as you grow up. Life management skills can be many different things. Some examples are decision making, organizations and many more. These don't have to be my strengths but can also be my weakness, that I will work on. The two life management skills that I feel confident best at and positive with is self–esteem and communication skills. When I ever wear or put ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The most hardest one to work on has to be peer resistance skills. I usually sometimes give up very easily, for example when I can't get a problem right and I keep trying, I would give up and guess. I have been working on it about a couple weeks, and it had improved by doing problems until I know it is right.. I still believe peer resistance skills is my weakness since I usually keep going back in forth about giving up and not giving up over simple things. Usually when something very upsetting comes up, I usually get upset a long period of time. Coping skills is difficult to deal with too but easy to make a solution for. For example, you can knit, read, listen to music, talk to friends, and etc. These skills are really hard to handle but I think I could make them into my strengths if I work hard and believe in myself. Strengths and weaknesses can be a struggle at a period of time. If you only focus on one point of a subject, you might not realize your other subjects will be weak. Weaknesses can be easily handle but people don't know how to react. This is where the term, goals can solve for both strengths and weaknesses. For an example, you could set a goal to work on your communication skills by talking to your classmates or close friends. It doesn't matter if it's a long– term goal or a short–term since, you would work hard for one or more goals you have in mind. The seven life ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems such as: Nausea, muscle weakness, insomnia, a change in appetite, dry mouth, and irritation. Moreover, studies have shown that depression affects an estimated one in 15 adults (6.7%) in any given year; in like manner, only 20 percent of teens will experience depression before reaching adulthood or of age maturity. Thus, making the predicament more common in young adolescences, rather than fully grown, mature adults. The controversy of the issue is widely known as a bland perception of, "one selves pain" or "another man's agony." But, that is no longer the case, as the issue is beginning to be more common and scrutinized throughout many regions of the world by psychiatrists, psychologists, doctors, scientists, and even so–called "specialists." As we too are a vital part of this Earth's survival. We are the only species that were given a peculiar gift that no other being has; free will. Conformity And Unhealthyness Throughout one's life, one's life one will develop a set of weaknesses and fears, caused by the nature of their development and the nurturing that comes afterward. Only through inner and outer reflection might one find the deep causes of the way in which they are. I have developed for myself and with the teaching of others to have weaknesses such as shyness and an unhealthy independence, as well as the fear of loneliness and rejection. Through research regarding the psychological, anthropological and sociological reasonings for these behaviors I have concluded that my upbringing and DNA are the causes. A weakness of mine would be that I am extremely shy in large social situations. The social agent of the family would impact this greatly. This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The fear of loneliness, social isolation can start with our first agent of socialization, family. This has been the strongest influence as I have separated parents, the idea of never having a full single family can lead to the fear of not having someone. Friends also lend to this, being afraid of losing friends from missing out on experiences. A sociologist may explain this through conflict theory. Where because of how they believe society is based on power and social conflict the fear of being lonely may lend to the idea of losing power and therefore society breaking apart. Fear as a whole is the innate need to not be hurt. The specific fear of loneliness is the innate need to be accepted by others, the fear of losing them and ultimately being alone. Culturally, this fear can be derived from other relationships and the social constructs of monogamy and ideal families. As well as media and the over–glorification of everyday lives. Through media, the term FOMO or Fear of Missing Out was developed. No one wants to feel lesser and these cultural aspects are propelling idealist propaganda. Chemically this may relate to GABA where if you don't have it or less of it, you get your ears excessively heightened. A scientific study by Scientific American found that "The study of fear in animals such as mice has shown that fear can be selectively bred into succeeding generations, suggesting a strong ... • 145. Examples Of Being Weak In Othello Being weak comes in a mental and physical form. Being mentally weak is to have no sign of resolve to make something wrong, right, or to be afraid of someone. Being physically weak is to have no power against someone more superior. And no one wants to match these descriptions. Which is why in society, some people tend to act tough and strong on the outside, to hide their true powerless, weak self. These two signs of weakness and action fits Desdemona, the wife of a Venetian general, in Shakespeare's play, Othello. Desdemona's husband is the main character, Othello. Due to Othello's high position in Venice, Desdemona tends to get overconfident with her own power, and at times even think she is more superior than Othello. This leads to a scene where she promises Cassio, an ex–lieutenant, that she would have Othello return his lieutenancy. Despite the fact that Desdemona seems to be a strong, confident woman at the beginning, towards the end of the play her fear of Othello, low self–esteem, and her ... Othello at first starts out asking Desdemona for the handkerchief. After several tries and Desdemona still cannot produce the handkerchief, Othello storms away in anger. • 153. Comparing My Beliefs Of Captain America And Captain America As regular human beings, we presume we couldn't ever compare ourselves to the superheroes we perceive in comic books or on a movie or TV screen. We believe this because superheroes are admired and ideal people who own superpowers, superpowers that have the ability to make the world a better place. Yet, what we don't see is other than the superpowers, we aren't too different. Superheroes have strengths and weaknesses, passions and morals as we do. I myself, feel as though I can compare my strengths and weaknesses with Captain America, also known as Steve Rogers. Captain America is my hero of choice because he possesses noble morals and beliefs that allow him to always form the right choice, he deeply cares for others and is extremely humane. Lastly, another strength we both have in common is the leadership and collaboration it takes to lead or be a part of a team. Pre–eminently, Captain America had strong morals and beliefs before he ever became Captain America. He believes and knows what it means to be a good person, what it means to not be immoral. He conjectures that even though people have villainous intent in the world, they can have some good in them. He likes to help those who are immoral instead of trying to punish them immediately for what they've done. He'd rather sacrifice himself before harming others, showing that he values innocent lives over his own. A weakness he has is that he finds himself between the lines of what's considered morally right and what he ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
