Probably one of the most unique and interesting properties to come to the market in Skerries in a long. A 100 year old stone cut cottage modernised and re-modelled as a large open plan contemporary style family home with the most extraordinarily beautiful and fascinating gardens you are ever likely to see.
The house has c.168 sq m (1800 sq ft) of accommodation, all on ground level and with ample room to extend or expand if ever required. The overall site area is in excess of half an acre (c.2600 sq m / 0.64 acres).
Despite the countryside feel of the property it enjoys a very convenient location within a few minutes walk of Skerries town centre, beaches, sports grounds and the railway station.

The Garden
The charming and magical garden starts off simply enough with a sheltered south facing patio area just off the main kitchen-living room
and affording loads of space to sit out, dine, play or just enjoy the view of what lies beyond.
From here a path of granite cobbles winds gently upwards, past borders of herbaceous plants, herbs, mixed berry and plum trees. Enjoy the
autumn fruits, colours and flowers now but every seasons will bring its own colour board to be enjoyed from the patio or the oval shaped
grassed area at its heart.
Just beyond here the planting increases in height to shield the first shed, the glasshouse (with grape vines) and the large poly tunnel.
Planting either side of the part is of a more exotic variety here with Bamboo and Giant Rhubarb mixed in with more conventional flowering
plants and berries.
Just past the Bamboo the paths gently turns again and forms into a wooden bridge over the pond complete with flowering lilies,
damselflies, frogs and other amphibian delights. The grassed area here provides a seat for a contemplative pause to enjoy this scene before
continuing to the next stage.
The path is now bounded by a small brick wall either side as it winds into the more work-like levels: raised beds for vegetables, covered
growing area for soft fruits, each protected by short hedges to prevent wind damage. Then orchards for apples and pears. With each level
comes a different delight.
A brief pause to look behind reveals the greatest delight: magnificent views of Skerries town, the windmills, the church spires and belfries
and the glorious view of the sea and islands of Shenick, Colt and St Patrick with Rockabill and the Mourne Mountains in the distance.
As if this in itself wasn't enough perched at this point is a Seomra chalet with its own stove from which to drink in this view in all weathers.
It even has a sunny patio behind it.
There is also a back entrance gate here which is reached by a separate right of way from Golf Links Road
