35.  In India, there were 3670 Suicides reported due to
Drug Abuse/Alcoholic Addiction during 2015.
Out of these 3670 Suicides; 3513 (95.72%) were
male, 157 (4.28%) were female and 0 (0%) was
transgender during 2015. The top 10 States/UTs in
terms of maximum Suicides due to Drug
Abuse/Alcoholic Addiction during 2015 were;
Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu,
Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana,
Karnataka, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh
