3. We’ve talked about first two basic principles of permaculture as
advocated by Holmgren.
4. Observe and interact
What it means: Nature is a teacher in all her
glories. For a natural problem in sight, there’s a
natural solution on hand. There’s a beginning and
there’s an end, but between these two
parameters, the natural cycle keeps moving
without bringing any pause to the existing
system.
5. Catch and store energy
What it means: Nature teaches us to preserve
things that are useful and resourceful; both for
today and tomorrow. But it is all due to the
ignorance that we fail to understand the
underlying concept. We use things thinking about
now and forget to store them ignoring the future.
6. So what we can learn from the third principle
Think about what you achieved today by using which
resources
A resource, if unproductive, is of no use
Secure today to survive and sustain tomorrow
The whole system should remain productive and flexible
