Risk type
1. Risk Type Details of risk Ways to minimize risk Person(s) Responsible
Damage to equipment Equipment could be
damaged from dropping
camera or tripod on hard
surfaces or roads whilst
filming in Donana National
Park. Additionally, camera
could get damaged by
water if I drop it in the sea.
I can minimize these risks
by always wearing the
safety strap of my camera
around my neck, so if my
camera falls out my hands,
the safety strap will cut its
fall.

Getting kicked by horses During filming the horse
races in Sanlucar De
Barameda, I could be at
risk of getting hit by the
horses if I stand to close to
the race or if a horse gets
scared and disobeys its
riders’ orders.
To avoid this issue, I must
stay a reasonable and safe
distance away from the
horses and keep my guard
up at up at all.

Fainting from
heatstroke/dehydration
Due to Spain’s hot
conditions, it is likely I
could suffer from not
getting enough water
which would affect my
work.
Drinking a fair amount of
water and wearing a
sunhat whilst dressing
appropriately for the
weather conditions will
help me avoid these issues.

Halting Production Because I will be staying in
a remote area of Spain, it
might be hard to ask for
directors to locations or for
an interview.
To avoid the language
barrier I must bring a
Spanish translator book
with me and learn simple
questions in Spanish.
