Are we overusing our freedom?

1. HOW MUCH FREEDOM DO WE HAVE?
Apart from what Indian Constitution has guaranteed the fundamental
Rights to every citizen of India, many of us enjoy special un-written rights
not guaranteed by anyone. Some of them are as below.
As members of mass media we can probe into personal matters of
celebrities and do lot of gossiping to earn our TRP rate. We can make small
things big and support some section of society and we need not be impartial.
In spite of many departmental vigilance cells and Lokayukta
corruption could not be controlled. Some departments are notoriously
corruptive. We enjoy(?) being corruptive. If Govt determines to sack
corruptive employees many sections will be empty.
Cinema and TV serials have no fear of censor, no limit for length of
serials. We need not to bother where we are leading society. We spend
crores of rupees to produce a movie with a weak theme, with no message to
society. At the same time we have freedom to criticize and condemn Oscar –
nominated film(s) and its team.
No head and tail for political leadership. There is no logic for
promises to general public before elections. There is no commitment. No
authorized agency to question them fulfilling the promises made before
elections. No decent citizen aspires to become a politician. So also for
judicial field. No common man has full faith in legal field. The legal system
is not for a common man, only for wealthy people.
Who are real tax payers? There are certain fields where people
become millionaires, like real estates, and how much tax is being collected.
Right from news papers commodities are sold more than MRP, (specially in
cinema theatres, highway side restaurants) no asker no teller. Pirated books
and VCDs are being marketed in Bangalore.
Last but not least, making dharnas, bundhs, strikes, without
considering the quantum of inconvenience to common man. Doctors,
transporters, Oil sector, religion-based, language-based dharnas are not
uncommon. Even pub-lovers too can do bandhs. We have also freedom to
make dharnas on a topic where Supreme Court has given a verdict (ex.
Cauvery water). A common man is the Common TARGET to every section
of society. Even God is reluctant to save him, because common man is a
plaything to everybody.
