2. We used both male and female lead roles so as to
attract both genders of audience.
We didn't really define our film to attract a specific
social class, but one would suspect that Voyeur
would attract a rather middle class audience.
I asked a few students and family members of mine
to give me feedback on the film and, put together,
this is the conclusion i come to:
3. Despite some of the shots being a bit too long,
the audience likes the way the tension is built
up. They enjoy the way the soundtrack works
towards that respect too, really setting the
mood.
Some of the audience also commented on how
the emotionality of the girl creates a real
connection with the audience.
4. They liked the camera work, other than some of the bits
being slightly shaky, and they complimented the good
use of ambient/diegetic sound.
I also got told the vignette edges around the shots taken
on the beach added to the mysterious atmosphere and
created a great effect .
5. The name 'Voyeur' also very much appealed to them, but more
specifically they also liked the way it zoomed in, making it
gain importance and look like it was coming towards the
audience and there was no way to escape.
One girl in my feedback actually said she didn't really
understand it, but i told her it was meant to be quite
confusing, as it is supposed to be a psychological thriller.
