2. Seminar about
environmental requalification
The awareness that the environment cannot be
considered a limitless space and that the
planet's resources are not infinite raises a
series of responses including those of
education.
The relationship between man and nature is
changing, moving from a world view that sees
man as dominant on nature to a vision that
sees the future of man as an inseparable part
of it.
The project that our school is trying to bring
forward is the redevelopment of the park of
the Villa San Giuliano, adjacent to our
Institute "De Gemmis" in Terlizzi, infact the
aim is to make our park a point of reference
for the school community but also for the
entire town of Terlizzi.

3. Guidelines of the project
In this regard, here are some guidelines for the redevelopment of
the park of Villa San Giuliano:
• environment is meant as a habitat for life, originated from a
plurality of elements in particular natural, cultural,
anthropological elements explored by pupils;
• Environmental Education and Sustainable Development are
considered study subjects that arouse the motivation of pupils;
• an active learning is chosen, it sees the surrounding areas a source
of information and a stimulus to create a project aimed at
improving our school environment;

6. Extraordinary maintenance
of the park school:
Pruning and cutting down of trees, shrubs and hedges
on request. Emergency services for the school's tree
and flower patrimony after accidents caused by bad
weather or other.
Any substantial redevelopment of the school green
spaces.
