Dr. Paolo Boffetta moved to Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 2010 where he serves as Director of the Institute for Translational Epidemiology and Associate Director for Population Sciences of The Tisch Cancer Institute. He has held positions at several prestigious institutions including Columbia University, the American Cancer Society, the International Agency for Research on Cancer, and the German Cancer Research Center. Dr. Boffetta has authored over 700 peer-reviewed publications in epidemiology of chronic diseases and holds adjunct or affiliate positions at numerous universities worldwide.

chapters. He is associate editor of Lung Cancer, European Journal of Clinical
Investigation, and Frontiers in Cancer Epidemiology, and is a member for more than 10
editorial boards of scientific journals. He is the founding member of several international
cancer epidemiology consortia and networks.
