2019 ANGEL CITYGAMES
2. To be the largest, all-inclusive
multi-sport Paralympic style
competition and festival in the
United States where we
celebrate and support the
disabled community.
We create the ideal experience
for new athletes to learn about
adaptive sports, find experienced
mentors, connect & engage with
peers, and ultimately
be inspired to continue
their journey in sport.

OUR MISSION
3. At Angel City Sports, we are working hard to change that. Angel City Sports was founded in
2015 with the belief that everyone has the right to participate in sports. Our community is large -
10-15% of the U.S. population - highly fragmented, and challenged with high rates of poverty,
unemployment and major health problems.
Every day, we are grateful to witness the transformative power of sports to improve
self-confidence, reduce social isolation, and build community. We are creating a sense of
belonging for our community and our flagship event, the Angel City Games presented by The
Hartford, plays a pivotal role in this process.
The annual Angel City Games is now one of the largest Paralympic style events in the country.
We expect 350+ athletes to participate in 7 sport clinics and competitions over 4 days this June.
We now offer a mentoring program for new athletes and travel grants for athletes who need
financial assistance. We want the Games to be the best event in the country to introduce people
with physical disabilities to sport.
But we need your support. With additional funding, we can find new athletes and expand the
sports programming at the Games. More importantly, your support will help us impact more lives
through the transformative power of sport.
Join us- we are just getting started!

A MESSAGE FROM
OUR FOUNDER
As the father of a child born with a physical disability, I understand that just getting through the
day can be a struggle. For people with physical disabilities, participating in sports is often an
expensive and distant dream. Or worse, sport is simply seen as impossible.
