The combination ofmy main product and my ancillary products was very effective.
Themes throughout consist of bright coloured lights and scenery in the video, scenes of
the artist on her own and environments that would be described as ‘indie’. Bright
coloured settings such as the Southbank tunnel was a key setting for the music video
and the production as a whole project. The tunnel was an important aspect because it
allowed us to film enough shots so that the coloured graffiti filled walls cropped up
frequently throughout the video. Expressing the colour and emotional feel to it.
Because of the colour and vibrant feel to the video then replicating that feel in my
ancillary tasks were crucial.
For example, I used purple, yellow and black as my main colour pallet in not only my
poster but also my digipak template. In both I made sure the same colour pallet was
apparent and the same main title image was used in both. This was vital for them is
that these techniques compliment and help to promote the other. This is a common
thing throughout the mainstream media and modern ways to market fields such as
music. This self-promoting technique throughout multiple media areas is synergy.

After researching multipleartists and other real music ancillary
products I found that using the artists face as the main image was
very common throughout and their key selling point. I decided to
include this idea and way of marketing in my own poster for our
artist Aaliyah A. The image used is also the same in my digipak
below as I thought it was important to keep the same images
across both products. To conclude, I can say that I think both my
ancillary products and my music video do combine effectively in
terms of my music production poster and my digipak. This is firstly
because my colour scheme essentially is very similar all through
the 3 projects.
