There are many functions in a DVD first let’s go with the “play list”.
Play list is an option to find what you are looking for, it can save you lots of time by using it
to look for something instead of checking them one by one.
Menu buttons are very similar to the play list but they work in different ways. Menu buttons
are like gates to other places such as: to the play list, to watch videos, listen to music or to
settings.
DVDs can store data and many other things, the most common thing is videos, and by
storing things in a DVD you can play it in many devices.
Watching films is a big example of the use of DVD, you just need a device to play it then you
can enjoy the contents.
In the modern world DVDs have been dying little by little. DVDs are used to be used to share
or transfer data but in this modern world we don’t need it anymore, instead of using a disk
we can use the Internet (wifi) for it. Because it’s more convenience with the internet and
you don’t have to carry a disk with you. With a device that can connect to internet you can
download or watch things on live anywhere you want.
But there are still few things that is keeping the DVDs alive, the video game consoles. Video
game DVDs have different formats than a film DVD or any other DVD, a video game DVD is
formatted for certain type of devices such as the play station or XBOX. The data of video
game DVDs can also be downloaded from the Internet but it can’t be played in any divide,
the only way to play it is to put them in a DVD and play it in the corresponding device.
