On Wednesday, October 10th, the CS and the consumer associations of the country will subscribe a cooperation
agreement. Mr. Erick Ulate, Presidente of Consumers from Costa Rica, will the special guest who will dictate a
lecture on “The Importance of Competition for the Consumer”, as a result for his experience in this field.
On Thursday 11th, the CS will make public its competition studies of the rice and sugar agro-industries. Each
study includes the legal framework that regulates the sector, an economic analysis which characterizes the
market and its composition. The results of said studies are considered alternatives that favor competition and
benefit the consumer.
