2. Hurricanes Hurricanes start out as tropical storms. When the moisture evaporates the storm rises. It rises until there is a lot of hot moist air that is twisted. The hurricane looks like it is very twisted and has spikes on the side. It looks very strange. The hurricane has a middle part. There is nothing happening in the middle part. This part is called the eye.
3. That Looks Bad A hurricane can destroy almost everything. houses, cars everything destroyed. It has great winds and huge floods.

7. Hugo! C hurricane hugo happened in s.c. and other areas. It hit s.c. in 1889. as you saw from before it destoyed homes and buildings. My mother just so happened to be there and she said it was bad.
