the way to spend life perfectly. This faith is built on five pillars which

belief in all of them otherwise the faith will be considered as
incomplete. Here we have to sum up the five pillars of Islam which can
be elaborated in a countless number of articles and here they are
summed up in sequence.
Showing the faith or Shahadat
The faith must be first declared and this is done when you recite the
‘Kalma’. This should not only be uttered but you need to have faith in
Allah. On the basis of this strong faith, you will be able to show this.
3. This belief should be in the heart of a true Muslim and only declaring this
with no faith in the heart simply means that one is not a true believer.
Prayer or Salat
It is a form of a regular and a strong connection between Allah and a
true believer. This is a strong bond which is testified five times a day. It
is the type of worship in which we bow our head in front of Allah and
make whole-hearted Duas by constantly reciting the verses that Allah
has gifted us. It is an obligatory act of worship and is the second pillar
of Islam. It is the best way to get the utmost peace and comfort
Zakat
Islam is the type of religion in which the sympathetic behavior of a
person is considered to be the most preferable and admirable one.
There is a certain calculation of wealth reaching which some specific
portion needs to be given to the people who are needy and are in the
harsh need of having the resources to live. It has a specific criterion
according to which it is given. It is the third pillar of Islam and it is
obligatory for those who have that specific amount of wealth.
4. Fast or Saum
It is the fourth pillar of Islam and it is observed in a specific month in
an Islamic year. This month is called ‘Ramadan’. In this month Muslims
observe fasts and during the time period between the ‘Fajar’ prayer
and ‘Maghrib’ prayer, certain things are forbidden which must be
avoided in order to accomplish this act of worship and make it
acceptable for Allah. This observance continues for one whole month
and it is an obligatory act.
Pilgrimage or Hajj
It is another obligatory act and is the fifth pillar of Islam. This is the
sacred journey to the holy land of Makkah where certain rituals are
performed and this way it is completed. It is an obligatory act but only
for those who can afford it. It is observed at a particular time in the
year and it is obligatory to perform once in the lifetime of a Muslim.
