Project Name: TRMS (Traffic Regulatory Management System)
Synopsis: The system has been designed and developed for the management of Traffic regulations of
Traffic Police pertaining to a city which can be expanded to other cities of state. The system has been
designed to handle valuable and sensitive data and has incorporated number of security features. It
consists of three verticals,
E-Challan: The application created for the E-Challan is an automated system for the process of
creating, monitoring and maintaining various challans issued for traffic violations. The application is
installed on a handheld device. Cases are booked on the spot using the handheld which is then send to
the server via GPRS. Past history of offences can also be viewed in the Handheld using this
application.
Beat Challan: The application created for traffic enforcement department, through which the officers
will take the pictures (shot) of vehicles of traffic offenders which is then send to the server via GPRS
with offence types like stop line violation, without helmet etc., and will send fine notice to the owner
of the vehicles.
Reporting Module: The System shall provide varied information and reports to the higher officials as
and when required. The main objective of the automation shall be to integrate and network the system
with state of the art hardware and application software for Police force to access and use the
Information in their day-to-day duties.

Project Name: RAIS (Road Accident Information System)
Synopsis: This is an MIS application that helps the Chennai Traffic Police identify the areas where
the most number of accidents occur. The format generated through this application is sent to the court
for evaluation. The application is designed in such a way that it enables the officer to capture the
necessary information and also take spot pictures that are required for submission to the legal
authority. Using the ID of the person making the changes in a particular record, the changes are
automatically updated in the application. Adequate number of traffic signals, sign boards, variable
message boards are all incorporated at the venue. Client architecture is incorporated - all the data that
is fed into the HHT (hand held terminal) is fed directly into the server.
