• ETV Kannada rebranded as COLORS Kannada on April 20, 2015.
• Reflecting the distinctive culture and traditions of Karnataka through its
differentiated content, the brand has changed.
• This is a part of the recent announcement by one of India’s fastest growing
entertainment networks, viacom18, on expanding its portfolio by rebranding
five ETV regional general entertainment channels.
• Colors Kannada takes the legacy forward with the new brand philosophy –
“onde sambandha, ade anubandha”.

• From the response of the first two seasons of the dance reality show Dancing
Star, the Colors Kannada is back with Dancing Star 3, which received
overwhelming response from the viewers over the weekend.
• The first episode was telecasted on 9th of July where Juhi Chawla was invited as
the celebrity guest.
• The judges for the third season are Ravichandaran, Priyamani and Mayuri
Upadhya.
• This season 12 contestants are participating in the show.

• COLORS SUPER is the network’s second GEC in the Kannada market.
• The launch of COLORS SUPER was held on 24th July, 2015.
• Buoyed by the growing success of the regional broadcast portfolio, Viacom18
announced the launch of its first home-grown regional channel – COLORS
Super.
• The new channel has launched on 24th July, in the Kannada market, where it
already operates the current market leader – COLORS Kannada.
