1. EKKLESIA VS CHURCH
EKKLESIA VS CHURCH
The greek word Ekklesia means called out and is an appropriate word to use. Iglesia in Spanish means
called out also. Christ never uttered or used the word church in any manner.
Origin:
Old English cir(i)ce, cyr(i)ce, related to Dutch kerk and German Kirche, based on medieval Greek kurikon,
from Greekkuriakon (dōma) 'Lord's (house)', from kurios 'master or lord'. Compare with KIRK

King James ordered that the word church be used. The word church was therefore a willful mistranslation
due to coercion from King James and due to lack of freedom of expression. The origin of the word church
comes from a pagan religion and should not be used. The word church has too many meanings and does
not represent the perfect will of God through Christ via His Gospel.
Saints must strive to sanctify and keep God's things holy and strive to not mix the holy things of God with
paganism
There are no English words that mean exactly the same as Ekklesia except for the words the Called Out.
We are called out to be His saints.
People use words such as temple, assembly, house of prayer and church but as stated before saints
should strive to use the most appropriate words to describe the holy things of God.
Christ used the words "House OF prayer" to describe the holy temple.
Matthew 21:13
And said unto them, It is written, My HOUSE shall be called the HOUSE OF prayer; but ye have
made it a den OF thieves.
The size of the group of the iglesia that assemble together is not of most importance. Least two or three
who agree in harmony and unity is fine but the more the merrier. What is most important is that we teach
and preach the doctrinal Truth(s) of Gospel of Christ's Salvation.
