2. Film Industry
Actors/actresses
Actors and actresses are people who portray people in films and make money by doing
this and being in a blockbuster film.
Producers
Film producers prepare and supervise the making of a film and when it is done they
present it to a film distributor.
Directors
A film director is a person who directs the making of a film and brings the scripts to life
by telling the actors what to do.
Scripts
Scripts tell the stories of the film which is writer by the writers and the directors bring
them to life by telling the actors what they need to do.
Writers
The writers write the scripts about what they want the film to be written about , and they
give it to the directors to direct the actors what to do.
3. Radio Industry
Dj:plays the music that is on the play list,
for the day in the radio station.
Actor: performs as another person, for
radio shows, that are on certain stations.
Agent: arranges jobs for actors/performers ,
and the information they need for their jobs.
Marketing executive: they promote their
clients products, services or ideas.
4. Television Industry
Actors: performing different people in the show.
Assistant art director: take drawings/ sketches
of sets and make them into sets, supervising
construction of set.
Choreographer: teachers actors and other
performers how to do certain movements such
as dances.
Camera operator: ensuring that cameras and
other equipment are operating correctly.
Costume designer: being in charge of creating
and designing and hiring all costumes to actors
and extras.
5. Print Industry
Printers are employees who use their
creative and practical skills to create a
range of products including food labels,
newspapers, books, and CD labels.
Some printers may specialise in one
particular area, such as posters or frozen
food packaging. Printers use numerous
different machines on a daily basis.
These machines come in different
shapes and sizes and require specialised
skills to operate successfully.
6. Advertising & Marketing
Industry
Account executive
Works with clients, researching into their market, their services
and potential customers. They devise advertising plans for
clients and once approved by the client will work with colleagues
to plan and start on an advertising campaign. They ensure
campaigns run on time and to budget.
Account manager
In addition to the work of an account executive an account
manager liaises with potential new clients to create new
business for the agency, monitor and evaluate each project and
manage a team of account executives.
7. Press
A job role in the press is a
newspaper journalist , newspaper
journalists investigate and write up
stories for local or regional
newspapers about the recent
stories, events and news in that
location or around the world.
