4. 1. AL FATEHA
- THE OPENING
- This surah OPENS the door to the Quran
and all its treasures.
- Fatha is open and Muftah is key.
- We “OPEN” our salah; our day with this
surah.

5. Baqarah
The cow
“But I am not an animal, I am a human being!”
Okay, then ... find your identity in this surah. We have been given distinct
identity, traits, a way of thinking etc. Best of all, we have been taught names;
taught to read and write; and we certainly know how to talk languages.
But this surah is about “cows”?!
Yes, I agree. And cows can’t do any of this, yet humans worship(ed) them!!!!!!!!
6. Ali’Imran
Family of Imran
- A family just like we all have a family.
- Talking about family, we do love them.
- We are one and yet different from one another.
- Best thing about families, we eat together.
- We work hard for that meal on the table.
7. An-Nisa’
The Women
A reminder for the Head-of-the-Household, your women are important part of
your family.
- The family you belong to and often take pride in.
- You are not complete without them.
- You have rights over them and they have been given rights over you.
- Take care Y’all.

The Cattles
- All the yummy goodness is them :p
- We have to take care of them as well.
- It is good food
- It’s a good ride
- It’s make good workers in the field
- Prophets worked as shepherds taking care of them and earned their
living.

- Talk about hiking, I wonder what one would find going to heights?!
- A refreshing atmosphere
- A view, a perspective...
- I wonder what one may find when they are at higher grounds?!

- What goes up, must come down.
- Something for “Show and Tell”.
- Hope for success.
13. Yunus
Jonah
- Talking about repentance, Jonah’s repentance is the most renowned
repentance in the history of mankind.
- From his experience and story we learn a great deal about hope and
hopelessness; personal struggles; value and hope in the life Allah has
given us.
- Allah gives and gives and ....
- And accepts our repentance
- Our only true hope.

- Nation of Hud is another example of people who don’t care and don’t ask
for repentance.

Joseph
- Sweet young lad goes through “some” trouble with:

- Bullied by people
He knows Allah made him smart, He becomes poised.
He listens, he learns fast, he works hard and he perseveres.
In the end, finally his brothers ask for his forgiveness, for treating him badly.

- Pure honey comes from their hard work
- Allah Azza wa Jal says that He created everything with a purpose.
- So then, shouldn’t we try our best to serve our purpose and goals in this
life?
20. Al-Isra
The Night’s Journey
- But I thought everyone sleeps at night!
- True
- However there are some special bees that have to take on night-shift
work.
- It is also true that we take extra precaution going out at night.
- Night’s journey is special, and rare.
- Prophet (s) took one journey at night, Al-Isra wal M’iraj.

The People of the Cave
- The people of the cave also took on foot, a night’s journey.
- An amazing true story of young men.
- Two more fascinating stories in this surah.
22. Maryam
Mary, mother of Esa (a)
- One courageous, pious young lady
- She was a great family, family of Prophets.
- Her son, the famous child born as a great miracle from Allah.
- A child without a father! Allah says. {“Be” And it is.}.
- Allah swt tells us in this surah that Adam’s birth was a miracle too as he
was born without a mother or a father. Moreover, his wife, Hawwa (Eve)
was born out of Adam’s ribs!!! Peace be upon them all.
- This is more shocking a truth, a reality. Then, why do people associate Esa
23. Taha
- Encrypt Ta-Ha if possible, but no one can except the one Allah grants
knowledge to.
- Prophets are among special people who had been granted immense
knowledge and wisdom, and some special powers.

The Prophets
- Chosen people with a special message from God, Al-Mighty.
- They had the toughest job a human being can ever have.
- They approached their people to worship Allah alone.
- Be just, do good, think and reflect on their actions because those people
had become extremely corrupt.
