Since 2003 AES International have been looking after expats as

This unique service relies upon the fact that we are authorised and
regulated by the Financial Services Authority to transact
investment business in the United Kingdom, so enabling us to offer
a range of services inaccessible to unregulated international
financial advisers.
3. Frozen UK Pension and Consolidation
Many people leave the UK to live and work offshore but leave behind their
accumulated pension benefits from one or more schemes.
The offshore status can in many circumstances, but not all, mean it is
beneficial to consolidate and transfer your UK pensions into one scheme
which can be effectively managed by a regulated investment firm.
Our services ensure a full analysis of your UK schemes are conducted in
order to produce a clear recommendation of the course of action’s
available to you and where appropriate we offer a full on-going

5. Inheritance Tax Planning
Many British people who decide to remain
permanently overseas often make the mistake in
thinking that they are no longer subject to the United
Kingdom inheritance tax laws. Non-residency in the UK
does not always mean exemption from IHT. You can
be non-resident but “deemed domiciled” and it is this
factor that matters when the Inland Revenue come to
assess individual cases.
Again, without obligation, you can instruct us to look
at your existing situation, advise upon whether or
not your estate would be liable to IHT and to offer
viable solutions.
6. Life Insurance, Health insurance and
Critical Illness Cover
Moving abroad can often mean that you move to a jurisdiction where
there is no equivalent of the NHS and as such you need to ensure you
and your family are protected.
Many companies do offer basic cover within their contracts however
typically this is merely enough to get your family home or support you for
a few days in hospital.
Many UK policies do not cover you for more than 60 days offshore, we
can analyse your current policies and make recommendations at no cost.
We can also provide quotations for suitable individual or packaged
policies to suit your requirements.
7. School Fee Planning
Our school fees planning service offers clients an individual programme
specifically tailored to meet their personal requirements.
Our comprehensive report will take account of ability to invest on a regular
basis, show how to re-invest existing capital, often in a tax efficient
environment, or maximise mortgage facilities in order to meet objectives.
It should be noted that if you wish to send your children to a UK university
but remain offshore at the time the fees are considerably higher than for a
UK resident.

Through our dedicated mortgage services department we are able to access
a wide range of mortgage and re-mortgage facilities available to British
expatriates, both for property back in the UK and for the purchase of second
homes internationally.
We also offer a full residential investment mortgage service providing
mortgages for further residential investment property purchase should you
wish to increase your property portfolio whilst overseas.
The initial consultation is free of charge and includes, where appropriate,
looking at your existing mortgage arrangements, making recommendations
where we think they can be improved and setting out in detail the cost/benefit
analysis.
As most lenders now pay introductory fees we can more often than not offer
these services without any additional fees being charged.
