What did the Mayan women wear?

        The Mayan women wore loose dresses almost like
           sacks.The women wove the dresses themselves.

                                 Mayan men wear?
           Mayan men wore cotton shirts with embroidery.
      Sometimes Mayan men wore tunics that the woman
wove for them.The men also wore ex which is loincloth.
                       It covers as much as a small bathing suit.

What were the typical Mayan textiles?
     The typical Mayan textiles were cotton.They would
weave the cotton with a special board called a weaving
                                    board.

       The typical Mayan designs were usually objects in
               nature for example: toads, flowers, and,corn.

What were some of the Mayans ideals of beauty?


The Mayans ideals of beauty were much different from
                           ours.

Gold and jade were worn by the Mayan in bead
                              earrings and ear spools.
                    They even pierced their arms and chest.

                       For special events they would paint their
                                bodies and their teeth.

The Mayans considered crossed eyes beautiful.
    The Mayan dangled a object in front of babies to
                           make them cross eyed.

The Mayan also considered corn-shaped heads
                                   beautiful.

The would Mayas would tie boards to newborn babies’
   heads and that would slant the forehead back. They
                    admired a forehead that was sloped back.
