2. Ron Eakes is a successful businessman and owns Mid
Plains Construction company in Plains KS. He started
this company in 1979 and since then he has expanded
the operations and now more than 70 full time employees
work in the company. He also owns three concrete ready
mix plants and have a successful partnership in two
large scale dairies. His construction company offers
various services such as general construction, concrete
construction, concrete ready mix sales, concrete
forming, concrete install, curing concrete and advanced
concrete construction.

products such as Caissons and Pilings, Driveways/
sideways, Parking lots and Handicap ramps.
Additional services offered by the company are
Asphalt Driveway Restructuring, grading services,
foundation repairs and floor leveling. The company is
serving various clients such as commercial,
residential, Hog, Dairy, Feedlot, Grain storage
facilities, curb and guttering and metal building floor,
etc. for the last 33 years.
4. Ron Eakes is actively involved in many community
services and regularly keeps on contributing to various
charity organizations, like American Cancer Society,
Children’s Miracle Network, Kansas peace officers, Save
the Children, etc. He is also involved in some of the
prominent local charities such as Knights of Columbus,
Special Olympics, Public Television. He is quite social
and is an active member of Lion's club, Church Council,
Local school board and County Economic Organization.
5. Ron Eakes was born in Western part of Kansas, which is
named after the famous Kansas river that flows through this
US state. He was one of the ten siblings and spent most of
his childhood in the western Kansas. He completed his
schooling from South Western Heights School and completed
his graduation from Dodge City Community College, Dodge
city, Kansas. Just after finishing his college studies he started
Mid Plains Construction Plains KS. He further did Dale
Carnegie Course and was selected as an honored member of
National Register of Who’s Who in executives and
Professionals. He also received a prestigious Certificate of
Achievement in Building construction. He is quite a family
man, in his family he has his wife and three children. In his
leisure time Ron Eakes likes to play golf and he is also fond
of traveling to varied destinations.
