Innovation Skills

  - Think creatively, work creatively with
  others, Implement inovation

  - Reason effectively, Use system thinking, Make
  judgment and decisions, Solve Problems
- “Engaging Scenarios” or Performance task

Engaging Scenario Example:
Your community has noticed changes in the aquatic animal and plant life in the water
bodies around the community. They have asked you to determine what might be some
possible reasons for these changes. Because of your knowledge of water quality and
water contaminants, you suspect that pH levels in the water may be responsible.
Your task is to obtain water samples from a variety of water sources (At least two test
sites) in and around your community, design a process for collecting and testing the water
sample to determine the pH level, you will prepare a PPT presentation and a written report
on the results of your experiments including information on possible reasons for the
differing pH levels. Finally, you will make recommendations to the town council for
measures they might make to respond to these changes.
Before conducting the experiment, locate information on pH levels and the effect of pH on
aquatic plants and animals.
