Formed in 2005, POINT OF VIEW’s first big achievement came in the form of a short
listing for SHAMAL in 2006, to open for the legendary IRON MAIDEN. The band has
not looked back since then. Juggling between day jobs and family commitments (the
typical life of the expatriate in Dubai), the band has managed to stay together and bring
to fruition a dream project. "REVOLUTIONIZE THE REVOLUTIONARY" is the bands
long awaited album with 11 tracks showcasing the bands diverse musicianship.
POINT OF VIEW launched their album in style at THE HARD ROCK CAFE DUBAI on
the 3rd of October 2012. Their debut album is called REVOLUTIONIZE THE
REVOLUTIONIZE and features 11 hard hitting tracks that talk about hope in a world
ridden with social evils, stigma, corruption, greed, racism and religious intolerance.
What is most special about the launch is the fact that the band is endorsed by the
iconic guitar player from Guns N' Roses, MR RON BUMBLEFOOT THAL. He not only
endorses the bands music but also flew down to share the stage with the band at their
launch gig.

What the search won’t immediately tell you is why the man — who let’s face it doesn’t
exactly need the publicity — is en route to the UAE to personally support Dubai-based
band Point of View. They’re down-to-earth real people making real music, they talk
about things that matter to them. They make music to spread their ideas, not for their
ego. They want to improve the world, whether it’s raising awareness about issues, or
taking time for charitable causes. They made a great sounding album, the songs have
musical influences that I like, the guitar melodies and ripping solos, the vocals, rhythm
riffs, drum grooves, it’s good stuff. Most of all, it feels real, legitimate.
From the opening riff I knew this album would rock. And it does. A great album filled
with groove, melody, rock n' roll energy, all the way through to the blistering final guitar
solo. And after listening to the whole CD, the only thing I could do was... play it again!
RON BUMBLEFOOT THAL – GUNS N’ ROSES
The band releases 2 Radio Singles, “UNREAL” and the album title track
“REVOLUTIONIZE THE REVOLUTIONARY”. The bands music is very hope driven and
talks about eliminating poverty, hunger, racism, corruption and communal hatred.
POINT OF VIEW music is all about changing the world and bringing a smile to
someone’s face through the route of awareness and realization of one’s duty to
society, despite the evils that corrode it.
The last 5 years has taken the band through a very memorable journey and now the
band embarks on a new one with one album on the brink of release and a second
album being recorded. The band is signed with MUSIC BOX UAE for their local Middle
Eastern Distribution and has an active tour calendar locally and internationally for
2013.
