Marta Tunesi is a biomedical engineer who received her degree from POLIMI in 2006. She has since pursued further training in pharmaceutical validation and is currently a PhD student in material engineering at POLIMI. Her research focuses on developing hydrogel-based systems for cell housing and drug delivery in the central nervous system. Through Progetto Rocca in 2009, she hopes to gain an international experience by meeting people from different backgrounds and learning as much as possible from the opportunity to conduct research at MIT focusing on resorbable matrices for molecule delivery and motor skill training in the motor cortex.
