3. Bang-bang play.
A bang-bang play is one in which the base
runner arrives at the base just before the ball,
or the ball arrives just before the runner.
4. Cut-off man.
The cut-off man is the player (usually the first
baseman, second baseman, or shortstop) who
“cuts off” a ball that is thrown from the outfield
to a specific target in the infield.
5. Infield fly rule.
An umpire can call a batter out on an infield fly
rule when there is only one out in the inning;
runners occupy first and second base or the
bases are loaded; and a fly ball can be caught
in fair play by an infielder.
