Instructions for accessing and setting up a Google Docs
Presentation.
Everyone in the group should be at the own machines and follow these
directions…(remember your group is the row you are sitting in)
1. Start Google Chrome browser on your desktop
2. Go to www.google.com
3. In the top right hand corner of the Google homepage you will see a button
that says Sign In. Click on it
4. Enter the user id: edgarmiddleschool1 and the password:
brunswickave49
5. The screen at the top right should change and you should see a set of nine
small boxes along with other small icons. Click on the set of boxes.
6. Select Google Drive.
7. You should now be looking at a set of folders marked Period 2A. Each folder
has pictures in it from your design challenge.
8. Find and open your folder. MAKE SURE you are in YOUR Folder before you
start the next step….
9. PLEASE FOLLOW THIS NEXT DIRECTION CAREFULLY… only ONE person
should press the create button on the left hand side of the screen and begin a
presentation. You should name the presentation the name of your building.
AFTER the first person creates the presentation the others in the group can
access and open it.
10. Following the presentation guidelines – every person in the group should
create at least one slide for the presentation (even if they did not participate
in the design challenge).
11. Use the pictures in your folder for your presentation.
12. DO NOT HAVE MORE THAN ONE PERSON ON EACH SLIDE AT ANY ONE
TIME. If there are multiple people on one slide the last person will wipe out
the previous person’s changes!
13. Google Docs saves automatically – so just log off when you are done.
