Generation X views work mostly as just a job to earn a paycheck rather than a central life interest. They are less loyal to their employers and more willing to change jobs if a better opportunity arises. This has forced companies to focus more on flexibility, training, and rewarding skills rather than mainly focusing on long tenure if they want to attract and retain Generation X workers.
