This document provides a step-by-step summary of Generation 8 of the Legacy challenge being played by Rex. Some key events include: Sebastian Legacy returns from vacation pregnant again and has twins, Jonathan and Average; Jonathan becomes the heir and maxes out his skills while Average remains average; Alvin the Bigfoot joins the family and helps care for the elderly patriarch Sebastian; Jonathan goes to college and pledges a fraternity while Average transfers; Jonathan graduates and gets engaged to Zoe Barrett to begin Generation 9.

1. The How-To Legacy
Volume Seven – Bon Voyage

2. So we’re at the tail end of this legacy. Let’s do a quick re-cap before getting into generation
eight:
Generation One/Founder – Veronica Legacy and Joe Carr
Generation Two: Taylor Legacy and Kaylynn Langerak (spare = Theodore)
Generation Three: Andrea Legacy and Zaitrarrio Larrea (spares = Patrick and Renee)
Generation Four: Wright Legacy and Lee Kauker (spares = Aaron, Elijah, and Nicholas)
Generation Five: Mackenzie Legacy and Count Venkat Garth (spares = Ariel, Madison, and

Generation Six: Rose Legacy and Gary Patch (spare = Violet)
Generation Seven: Sebastian Legacy (spare = Siobhan; alterna-verse heir: Travis)
While this has been a productive legacy so far, I think the next challenge I do will be played
out more slowly (because I will be working during the day and won’t have all the freetime
in the world to play a computer game).

Right after this, I had Sebastian look for a job online and found the
business career but at a higher level than he was at.

Here’s the thing: this telescope, while having a 10x higher chance of
abducting your sim, does not guarantee abduction.

7. STEP FIVE: GET ABDUCTED
However, this time it did.

I bought the most expensive vacation homes in each of the three vacation
spots to try and dwindle the savings of the family. Seriously, in game they are
currently over 500K. I’ve even tried playing the chance cards to reduce their
funds, but I end up getting more.

Sebastian ended up getting all three vacation maps (plus a few objects)
so I can send him to every secret lot.

At this point I’m just having him complete as many of those vacation
keystones as possible (or whatever they’re called… you know the
baggage thing in the memory panel)

I had him out there, using this telescope, every night since Jonathan was
born. Like I said, it doesn’t guarantee abduction.

There is a growing up picture of Jon, however, I want to condense these
chapters as much as possible.

So I realized partway through playing Three Lakes that Sebastian forgot
to take one of the tours in Takemizu. Next time I will send him to do that
and also do Twikki Island.

I played Violet and Siobhan for a bit. Vi graduated and Siobhan is the

Just as an FYI, because of seasons I have the entire university hood set to
constant autumn. It gives boosts in attending class and doing term papers. I
pretty much have this lot on x3 while I go about my house getting food and
going to the bathroom.

84. So there we have it. Eight generations down, two more to go. Freetime is installed and
Apartment Life is waiting on my desk right above a really old copy of Guild Wars that I
haven’t played in nearly a decade.
It’s a weird sort of nostalgia that I am having installing each EP. I remember when I bought
them, including the original game back in 2004. It’s certainly easier to play as an adult than
as a kid.
For the next two generations, I’m either going to have the Legacy finished tomorrow or
finish it by next weekend. I start work Tuesday so my constant free time will be a thing of
the past. For sure the next challenge won’t seem as rushed.
