2. While I may have just spoiled something about the nature of this upcoming generation, you
have no idea how it went down in game. With the installation of Nightlife comes the return
of a mod I know and love: ACR. Auto-Casual Romance. Literally, it makes the game so
much more interesting.
Before I forget, I made a promise to myself that the heir of generation four had to be a
pleasure sim because that was what was introduced in Nightlife. I pre-rolled each
aspiration for the kids as they were born so I knew when to stop trying for baby.
I thought that installing Nightlife meant that pregnant sims could go to work, but evidently
that comes in a later expansion pack. I also discovered a few other things. Take a look as I
make my way through generation four!
3. STEP ONE: BE FISHY FOR THE FISH!
Give your sickening heiress a make-over using some rediscovered custom
content, brought to you by All-About-Style. That’s All (pause) About
Style.
5. STEP THREE: APPRECIATE HER TASTE IN MEN
Despite paying her 5000, she didn’t provide a man that matched
Andrea’s turn-ons: Blonde and fit. Her turn-off is make-up.
6. STEP FOUR: DOWNLOAD YOUR OWN CRYSTAL BALL BY
TWOJEFFS
Meet Zaitrarrio Larrea. 6/9/7/2/5/, fortune sim who wants to be a criminal
mastermind. Turn-ons are custom hair and make-up, turn off is cologne.
Obviously he marries in.
11. STEP NINE: GIVE HIM A MAKEOVER
Those cheekbones! Those freaking cheekbones!
12. STEP TEN: GET MARRIED
I forgot that in Nightlife there is a glitch that takes away your ability to
get hitched without the alter. This nearly gave me a heart attack.
17. STEP FIFTEEN: MAKE KAYLYNN LOOK MORE LIKE THE
GRANDMOTHER SHE WANTS TO BE
18. STEP SIXTEEN: HAVE THE GAME GLITCH
So ACR keeps glitching on me and having me reset Zaitrarrio and Andrea,
so I had to delete him, re-load the lot and add those three days of life
back to him.
20. STEP EIGHTEEN: MEET AARON LEGACY
He has his mom’s hair and his dad’s eyes! Finally, a break in the custom
content eye cycle!
He is not the heir because he pre-rolled popularity. 6/9/7/2/4
21. STEP NINTEEN: MEET ELIJAH LEGACY
Blond hair, blue eyes, and not the heir because he pre-rolled romance.
So close, though. 6/9/7/6/4
39. STEP THIRTY-SEVEN: LOSE YOUR G2 HEIR
But he died platinum, and that’s all that matters. He lived to be 67 days
old. Skipping college really did a number on him.
42. STEP FORTY: … GET AN HEIR BUT LOSE YOUR HAIR
Meet Wright Legacy, named after Will Wright, the creator of the sims franchise. He pre-
rolled pleasure but has the same hair and eyes as his mom (which I was looking to breed out).
2/3/10/3/10
At least he has a different personality.
43. STEP FORTY-ONE: CHILD NICHOLAS
Poor child that won’t matter
Your life means nothing
58. STEP FIFTY-SIX: MAKE HIM FABULOUS AND GAY
Wright wants to be a celebrity chef. His turn-ons are beards and fitness, his
turn off is stink.
I get to turn on boolprop for the next generation. Now that Wright is a teen, I
can send all of them off to college.
60. STEP FIFTY-EIGHT: SAY HELLO TO THE NEW GUY
In the middle is Lee Kauker. He’s the downtownie boy with make-up. He’s a
pleasure sim, 2/3/9/7/4, wants 50 dream dates, and is turned on by glasses,
black hair, and off by stink.
He and Wright are gonna get married, y’all!
62. STEP SIXTY: MAKE LEE LOOK PRESENTABLE
ISH. Keep in mind that in-game it should be around 2005 because of the
styles of clothing. That was ten years ago that I first played around with
Nightlife at the age of… 11 or 12.
83. STEP EIGHTY-ONE: BE A WHORE
Goddamnit… so Lee and Aaron flirted while being best friends because of
ACR and Wright saw
84. STEP EIGHTY-TWO: NOT CARE THAT YOUR CREATOR
HAS TO DO DAMAGE CONTROL
Seriously, both Aaron and Elijah have a thing for Lee. It turns out
Nicholas is the only straight one this generation.
85. STEP EIGHTY-THREE: BE PISSED THAT NICHOLAS DIDN’T
ROLL A SIX
I could have easily bred out the eyes and hair, but NOOOO. He had to be
a knowledge sim.
89. STEP EIGHTY-SEVEN: GRADUATE THE HEIR AND
SPOUSE; LEAVE THE OTHERS BEHIND
They won’t be doing much, either way. Even G2 spare Theodore only has
one kid because I played him for three days.
93. And then I exited the game and installed Open For Business while writing this. Next I
have to make sure that I enable the custom content before entering the lot and resetting
the graphics of the game, but other than that it was a quick night and day playing
generation four.
I’m almost at the halfway point in this legacy and that’s a good thing. Not trying to force
out a real story line is super helpful when you just want to finish a challenge.
Things will start to slow down around next week when I start my full-time job. Right now
I’m on a break between graduating university and starting work. Between load-in
screens in the game, I’m studying for my HR course. Just putting it out there that I do
have a life… I’m not just playing this game all day. LOL
Til next time,
Rex (I AM GAY AND I APPROVE THIS VOLUME)
