4. INTRODUCTION
The Google science fair is an online science
competition sponsored by Google, Lego, Virgin Galactic, and National
geographic and scientific America. The first ever Google science fair was
aunounced in January 2011;the competition is open to 13 to 18 year old
students around the globe, who formulate the hypothesis perform an
experinent , and present their results. All students must have internet
connection and a free Google account to participate and project must be
in English, German, French, Italian or Spanish. Every year, teachers play a
huge role in Google science fair. Many past fanialist and winners credit
their teachers with telling them about competition in the first place and
supporting their participation.
K-TET is Kerala Teachers eligibility test.
Accordingly govt. Of Kerala has issued orders for the conduct of a teacher
eligibility test in Kerala. TET is a compulsory examination for BE.d
qualified candidates to be considered for teacher jobs in schools run by
govt. And private managements. Such qualified candidates will need to
satisfy all eligibility requirements as per state recruitment rules to become
qualified for getting recruited as teachers in respective categories in any
of schools specified.

5. Google has launched an outline science fair
allowing any student with an internet connection and a Google account to
take part in competitive event.
The Google global science fair 2011 is open to students
aged 13 to 18 old, working solo or in groups of up to 3.Applicants should
come up with their own hypothesis, create an experiment to test it, and
present the results and conclusions in either a two minute video or a 20
slide presentation. Current entries from offline local science fairs will also
be accepted when embedded into Google’s application. Registration is
open through April 4, 2011. In partnership with European centre for
nuclear research (CERN), the Lego group, National geographic and
scientific American, Google is awarding 12 prizes including the grand
prize of a 10 day trip to the Galapagos with national geographic explorer
and a Google scholarship. Worth $50,000. Selected winners will also
receive internship opportunitieswith the sponsors. Google’s pitch to
students includes a feel- good little story about how Google co- founders,
surgery Brin and Larry page (pictured), discovered Google through a
simple science experiment as well: The two hypothesized that there was a
better way to find information on the web.
