This document discusses the problem of "zombie data" where business information that was presumed erased is somehow revived and falls into the wrong hands. It presents solutions for properly handling old business data so it doesn't become zombie data, such as overwriting, white-outing, blacking-out, erasing, shredding, or burning the data. It then proposes a business model of an end-of-life data security company that extracts data storage devices from work stations for proper disposal and investigates recycling shredded data storage materials.
