### The Full Project

1. 1. How velocity and acceleration are different By: Nicholas
2. 2. Velocity

Velocity is when you measure the speed and direction of a moving object.

3. 3. Example

.When a car goes 20 miles per hour straight ,that is velocity because the cars speed is 20 miles per hour and its direction is going straight.

4. 4. Acceleration

Acceleration occurs when velocity has a change in speed or direction.

5. 5. Example

When a car is going 40 miles per hour and slows down because of a stop sign and turns, it is acceleration because of a change of direction and speed.

6. 6. What I learned

When I did my project I thought that when a car is going 30 miles per hour than turns it is not acceleration because the speed stays the same ,but I was wrong.

7. 7. Conclusion

My conclusion is when a car slows down or changes its direction it is acceleration. If it doesn’t turn or changes its speed it is velocity

8. 8. Web sites to look at

For more information you should go to all about acceleration or Wikipedia on velocity.

The End
