Female Executives Share Experiences During “View from the Top” Discussion
COSTA MESA, CALIF., MAY 14, 2010
Rauxa today announced that CEO Jill Gwaltney recently participated in a panel discussion of
female executives sponsored by the UC Irvine Paul Merage School of Business—Women in
Business Association. Current students and Merage alumni joined the panel of C-level women
executives who shared their experiences and challenges of working their way into senior
leadership positions. The event was mediated by Dr. Lisa Barron, a professor of organization
and management at Merage.
“Successful female executives are no longer few and far between, and it’s programs like these
that provide the foundation and support system necessary to make it to the top,” Gwaltney
said of UCI’s Women in Business Association. “The dialogue between my fellow panelists and
the audience provided great insight into what it means to be a successful woman in today’s
business world. I enjoyed sharing my story of creating ‘the little agency that could’ and hope
my journey serves as an inspiration to this group of sharp and talented women.”
In addition to Gwaltney, speakers included Sue Parks, CEO and Founder of Walkstyles, and
Judith Posnikoff, Managing Director and a founding member of Pacific Alternative Asset
Management Company. The event took place on the UCI campus at the end of April.
This event is just one of several well-deserved accolades for Gwaltney, who was also recently
featured on CRITICAL MASS: The Radio Show, and was also honored as a semi-finalist in the
Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards® 2010 Orange County/Desert Cities regional
program.
