Comenius Partnership
2011-2013
What a sensational second
year! Over the past 12 months
nine schools from nine coun-
tries across Europe have con-
tinued their wonderful project
U-Knight Europe!
In schools children have enthu-
siastically taken part in a wide
range of Medieval-themed
activities ranging from plays to
songs to cookbooks.
Partners have also participated
in three Comenius Visits.
The first visit took place in Ayia
Napa, Cyprus in October 2012.
The sun shone for the partners
throughout their visit. Schools
from England, The Nether-
lands, Poland and Italy took
students to partici-
pate in the Medie-
val activities. Part-
ners were warmly
welcomed by the
Cypriot families and
left Cyprus with
fond memories.
The highlight of the
visit was the Annual
Medieval Festival in
Ayia Napa
which all
the chil-
dren and
a d u l t s
took part
in. Part-
ners were
invited to
lead the
o p e n i n g
p r o c e s -
s i o n
t h r o u g h
the town. An amazing experi-
ence was had by everyone
involved. In March 2013 the
visit took place in the south of
Spain. Partners were welcomed
into a beautifully decorated
school where everybody was
enthusiastic about the visit.
Children from partner schools
were hosted superbly and had
an amazing time. Wonderful
cultural excursions were organ-
ised to ensure everyone left
with a taste of what Almeria has
to offer.
The final Comenius Visit took
place in The Netherlands. The
sun shone on the windy fields
of flowers and glistened on the
beautiful waterways of Amster-
dam. A fantastic Medieval Day
was organized by the school,
where children took part in lots
of activities including a Knights
Tournament with REAL knights!
Three amazing visits, which
enabled everyone to learn
about three diverse cultures.
All visiting children enjoyed
learning about new places and
meeting new people.
It’s a shame that there won’t be
a third tremendous year! Thank

helped organise the final visit.

huge thank you to our coordi-
nator Kasia, who has success-
fully led us through the project.
