What a wetland is...

• A Wetland is like the      kidneys of the river, they clean
  out rubbish and             petulance in the river.
• Some wetlands can take up to 1 or 2 days to walk but the
  bigger the wetland
• the more
• pollutants
• it takes
• out of the water.
Names of Wetlands
• Swamp, Bog, Fen, Marsh, Quag, Quagmir
  e, Slough, Swampland, Mire, Morass, and
  Muskeg.
• A man made
                   wetland is
                   one that has
                   been
                   constructed
                   by humans to
                   use for
                   example to
                   filter
                   stormwater.

What is a man made wetland?
What is a natural wetland?
• A natural wetland is a wetland that has
  occurred naturally with Mother Nature!
The purpose of a
  constructed Wetland...




It’s meant to filter out the
       pollution and
contaminants in the water.
