3. First aid:
It is important to remember that
snakes do not bite out of whim.
They are forced to bite.

4. Never try to suck out the
venom.
Never make an incision.
Never go to traditional
healers.
Never try to catch& kill the
snake.

5.  Make sure the victim and
others are a safe distance
away from the snake.
 STAY CALM and in
control
 Take charge of the
situation and reassure the
victim.

6.  Remove any watches,rings,bangles or
anything else .
 Try to immobilize the victim.
 Never let him run.
 Do not waste time for elaborate first aid.
 Note the time of bite and progression of
any visible symptoms.

7. Get to the hospital as soon
as possible.
 Give the doctor a brief
description of bite and
symptoms.
 Apply a broad pressure
bandage
below,upwards&over the
bite

8. Wound site:
Fang marks.
Discoloration .
Swelling.
Vision:
Blurriness .

9. Heart :
Rapid pulse.
Central:
Dizziness.
Fainting.
Increased
thirst.
Headache.

10. Other symptoms:
Bleeding.
Numbness.
Sweating
Gastric:
Nausea.
