Angels are special servants of Allah
The angels have been
mentioned in the Quran
The Arabic word for Angel is ‘Malak.’
Its plural is ‘Malaa’ikah’
5. Who are the Angels?
Allah say’s in Quran, Surah Fatir (35) :1
All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the (only)
Originator [or the (only) Creator] of the heavens and
the earth, Who made the angels messengers with
wings, - two or three or four. He increases in creation
what He wills. Verily, Allah is Able to do all things.
6. • Are they different from us?
Yes, they are different from us.
Allah made us from clay
But Allah made
the angels from
light.
7. Hadith
Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: The
Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Angels were created from
light, jinns were created from a smokeless flame of fire, and
`Adam was created from that which you have been told (i.e.,
sounding clay like the clay of pottery) .''

8. What do the angels do?
The angels do what Allah tells them to do.
They always obey Allah and never
disobey him.
They are always ready
to obey Allah’s
command at all times.
9. We cannot see them but we
believe that they are there
because it is mentioned by Allah
and His Messenger, Muhammad
(PBUH).
Being a Muslim, one must
believe in all the angels
even if one cannot see
them.
We have free will, which means we
can choose to do good or bad, but
Angels do not have free will.
10. There are many number of angels, Allah alone
knows the number of angels. Different angels do
different duties of Allah.
Are there many Angels?
Jibril or Gabriel - The angel of revelation
Mika’il or Michael –The angel of life-sustenance
Israeel –The angel of death
Israfil -The angel of Trumpet
11. The Guardian Angels
All human beings have two guardian angels
These two angels are called Kiraman
and katibeen.
Everything we say or
do is written down by
these angels.
