2. What he means to me
I try to be like him:
Always go forward and never
give up!
I believe that I will succeed!
The main thing is not to give
up.
3. What he means to me
He is industrious and hardworking:
Once his coach, Anatoly Tarasov, said
that his left leg was too weak and made
him squat down on one leg 1000 times
without rest
and Vladislav did it!
4. What he means to me
He is brave and determined:
When Vladislav was 11 he wanted to have a
hockey uniform, but in the Children and Youth
Sports School there was the only uniform left. It
was a goalkeeper’s uniform. So forward Tretiak
became the goalkeeper . It didn’t matter that to
be a goalkeeper is very dangerous and painful.
5. What he means to me
He is a good learner and a
creative person:
Vladislav created and practiced
the new style of goalkeepers’
technique . It is called “butterfly”
6. What he means to me
He is a practical businessman:
Vladislav is a chief manager and an owner of
goalkeepers’ hokey schools in the USA an
Russia. He is the current president of the Ice
Hockey Federation of Russia and was the
general manager of the Russian 2010
Winter Olympic team.
7. What he means to me
He is happy with his family. He has
two children and the grandson,
Maxim. Maxim is a goalkeeper in the
CSKA-96, too !
