  2. 2. OverviewFacebook for BusinessDo I need a Facebook “Like” page? What can I do with it?Can I sell stuff? How can it generate Revenue for my Biz?
  3. 3. Facebook For BizFacebook is expected to exceed one billionusers by August 2012 thanks to countries suchas Brazil and India where Facebook use israpidly increasing. Remarkably, more than 50percent of users log in daily. If you are a business, and want to brand yourbusiness for free. Then Facebook can help.
  4. 4. Should I have a Business FB Page?According to the Flowtown infographic, 69 percent of small businesses use Facebook as a marketing tool. However, for those small businesses with owners over the age of 54, they are less likely to rely on Facebook for their marketing.
  5. 5. The Present SituationFacebook is a great tool to increase awareness ofyour business; however, it can be confusing. You’re probably aware that there are a few differenttypes of pages: personal, community/group, fan andbusiness pages. While these pages were created topromote and inform different publics, many people donot distinguish between the various types. Instead, they use their business’ page as they do their per-sonal or fan page
  6. 6. Its a Social NetworkThe fact that you can log in as a business rather than a personalprofile is a huge step forward and one that opens a whole host ofnew networking opportunities. Up until now you had to work withinthe confines of your own page but now you take you business identi-ty all over Facebook and the web in general. You can like things, comment on other pages and engage in entirely new ways. Thischange should not be underestimated because the networking po-tential of commenting on other pages and actively engaging withusers away from your own business page is huge. The importantthing to remember here is that every time you engage somewhere itwill leave a link back to your own page so very much like comment-ing is a good strategy for growing blog traffic the same now appliesto Facebook.@someones business page and then “Like” them.
  7. 7. Facebook for BizPagemodo, the Facebook Page customizing firm, today released survey results which found that having a Facebook page has increased sales for small businesses and has driven traffic to their websitesThis survey of over 1,500 businesses found that 48 percent of them have increased sales because of their Facebook presence. Forty- seven percent said that the Facebook presence has driven traffic to their website.
  8. 8. How to Manage my Biz on FBTarget Your AudienceIf you are trying to promote your company through a social mediawebsite, think about who you are trying to reach. Then design youpage strategy around this audience. This will include asking yourselfwhat type of content they would like to see or what content will be ofmost benefit to your target audience. Besides providing great con-tent targeted towards your desired audience, another way to buildtraffic and awareness to your Facebook page is by following or likingother businesses’ pages. For example, if you are a local restaurant, think about liking pages on Facebook such as the city of Nashville, other local restaurants, local news stations and your frequent cus-tomer’s pages.
  9. 9. How to Manage my Biz on FBProduce and Reproduce Relevant InformationSocial media websites such as Facebook are about sharing. It is vital that you or your company interact with your friends and followers. “Liking” articles that friends have posted, congratulating your friends on their accomplishments and reposting material you found insightful will increase your presence on these sites and show your followers that you are listening to them
  10. 10. How to Manage my Biz on FBDon’t Push Too HardThere is nothing wrong with promoting your company or yourself on social media websites. Just remember, a little goes a long way, especially online.
  11. 11. How do I?Make a cool Facebook Business Page?Tag other Business Pages?Get more “Likes”?How much it is going to Cost? What are some FB Biz Strategies?
  12. 12. TabsFirst of all, even though they still use the term tab, what we are talking about are the links in the left column that fall under Wall. A standard first custom tab to add is a Welcome tab.Tabs are designed to allow you to connect with your visitors and fans in a whole new way. If you’re looking to connect your business, to your visitors, and you’re not looking for a lot of work to do it, Tabs are the way to go
