1. TERMS AND CONDITIONS - POST BOXES UK LIMITED
ORDERS
All prices shown are subject to VAT at the current rate. Prices and information given in catalogues, prospectuses and price lists shall not bind us in a formal
manner.
Cancellation of a duly registered order may only be obtained with our agreement. No orders for special items may be cancelled under any circumstances.
Items shall be guaranteed against all manufacturing defects. This guarantee shall be limited to 3 months. After this period, replacement of parts
acknowledged to be defective, the transport of the returned and replaced goods being at the customer’s expenses. A site visit and inspection by a Post Boxes
UK qualified representative or member of staff is chargeable. Cost to be advised on request.
Although designed to give the maximum safety, our locks do not afford absolute inviolability or individual exclusivity. In the event of accidental or intentional
half-opening, picking with or without signs of door breaking, we cannot under any circumstances be held responsible for the consequences.
When placing an order for bank of post boxes, a copy of our quotation and drawings should be submitted. Orders will be manufactured as per the details on
our quotes, and we will not be held responsible if details have not been checked by the customers when placing their orders.
When placing orders for replacement mailbox keys, any key references advised to us, either in writing or verbally, are at the discretion of the client. Post
Boxes UK will not be held responsible for wrong key references being supplied. If there is any ambiguity or a client is unsure of the key reference, Post Boxes
UK will require a clear photo of the key reference label, or can supply a replacement lock upon production of a photo of the lock required.
Under no circumstances can Post Boxes UK supply refunds on keys sent to the client. Cancellation of keys orders will only be accepted before despatch of
goods.
DELIVERIES AND RETURNS
Delivery times are given for information only and are complied with as far as possible; no responsibility can be accepted for cases of delayed delivery.
Delivery times quoted are in working days or weeks, and do not take into account factory shutdown or Holidays. Please consult us for details on these dates
when placing an order.
All claims for errors, omissions, shortages or damages must be communicated within 3 working days of receipt of the goods at the place of destination
specified on the order.
Returned goods will not be accepted without prior agreement. This must be confirmed in writing. If agreed, goods must then be returned within 10 days at the
customer’s expense. A 40% handling charge will be applicable. If goods are returned damaged, no credit will be raised and the invoice will stand in full.
No orders for special items may be returned under any circumstances.
Proof of Delivery requests must be notified to us in writing. PODs are available only for goods delivered within the last 3 months.
Royal Mail can only supply confirmation of delivery. Hard copy of signatures will have to be requested directly by customers at their own expense.
CARRIAGE
All our orders are sent via carriers. Deliveries are guaranteed within 3 days on UK mainland. Carriage charges for Channels Islands, Isle of Man, Northern
Ireland, Republic of Ireland and others countries are available on request. Carriage charges relate to internal sending only. Additional charges from Europe
and Rest of World may apply.
Orders over £250 will be delivered carriage paid. For orders under £250, there will be a carriage charge of £15.00 for 2-3 days service. A next day service is
available for £20.00 (England and Wales only).
Carriage for replacement spare parts is £10.00. Goods are sent by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery.
All quotations are offered on the assumption of there being adequate offloading capabilities at point of delivery. Should you require a tail-lift facility, there will
be an additional charge of £150.00 plus VAT.
PAYMENT CONDITIONS AND RETENTION TO TITLE
All goods shall be paid for in full by BACS, unless otherwise agreed in writing, All payments are to be net, without discount. The goods made available shall
count value of the month of availability. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue payments.
Title to the goods shall not pass until full payment has been received. Until the title and property in the goods pass to the customer, we may at any time,
without prior notice to the customer, repossess and sell the goods. For the purpose of exercising our rights, we, our employees or agents, accompanied by
such vehicles or plant that the company may consider necessary, shall be entitled at any time, without prior notice to the customer, to free and unrestricted
entry upon the customer’s premises, or such other locations where the goods may be located for repossession action.
