The date when a stock trades ex dividend is

This is the date which the next dividend
payment is declared or announced. It is also
known as the announcement date. This

dividend amount, ex-dividend date and
payment date.
6. Record Date
This is the date on which the company
declaring the dividend establishes who the
shareholders of the company are. An
investor must be listed as a shareholder on
this date to receive a dividend payout.
7. Payment Date
This is the date on which a declared stock
dividend is scheduled to be paid to
shareholders. Only those shareholders who
bought the stock before the ex-dividend date
receive the dividend on the payment date.
