To get a Sacramento Public Library card, you need photo ID and proof of current address. For juvenile cards, a parent or guardian must provide their ID and address and are responsible for any fines. Library cards allow borrowing up to 30 items including 5 DVDs from any SPL branch for 21 days with 3 renewals if not on hold. Items can be returned to any SPL branch and check out for free, but late fees apply if not returned or renewed by the due date starting at $.25 per day for adult items.
