1. "Vegas, Hillary is the dealer, Edwards is the dark horse and at the roulette table you should
always place your bets on Barack."
In Las Vegas last night the democrats displayed blue chip talent during their debate last night. It
clear the difference that lie between the democrats and the republicans. Hillary did here best to
look and act presidential. Her performance is always and seemed to be rehearsed like a theatrical
stage production. Edwards and his twelve hundred dollar haircut, stayed on message regardless
of what the question he was asked. Clearly , Barak Obama stage presence was dominate and he
didn't have to act as an president, because he is comfortable, regardless of the situation that he is
in.
Mrs. Clinton gave a decent performance last night, but she and her campaign has taken then role
of the dealer at the gambling table. The dealer at any gambling operation represents the house or
owner of the establishment. As a dealer you are responsible about adhere to the house rules and
collecting or rewarding monies earned or lost. Also a dealer notifies management about any
cheating being done by the other players. Hillary and her machine soon after her victory went on a
covert attack and introduce race on her criticism of Barak Obama. It got out of control when the
owner of Black Entertainment Television Bob Johnson an Hillary supporter insulted Obama by
insinuating that while he was an community organizer in Chicago he was experimenting with
drugs. The cards was clearly dealt at the Las Vegas debate because Hillary's political machine
stack the deck with non-issues. So the first line of questioning wasn't about national issues,
instead they were focused on Hillary's attack and Barak's counter attack a week after the New
Hampshire primaries.
John Edwards gets a C grade as far as performance last night at the debates. The problem with
Edwards is that he does have substantive middle-class issues but how can he really feel the pain
of the middle-class while sporting a twelve hundred dollar hair cut. Most working class men
wouldn't spend over twelve bucks for a hair cut. Another reason why Edwards gets an average
performance grade , because he stays on his message so much that after a while he begins to
sound like a scratched record. For example if you were to asks him "can we put a man on the
moon again?" his reply would be," yes, and that's why I am fighting for the middle-class!" Edwards
needs to loosen up and get off the "champion of the middle-class" script and answer a question
without pandering to specific focus group.
Finally, Barak Obama if he didn't realize it, I would bet he does now on how dirty politics can be.
Hillary called off the attack dogs but the damage had already begun. It took Howard Dean the
Democratic Party Chairman to step in and tell both campaigns too put the boxing gloves down.
The "race" issue was about to split the Democratic Party in halve and in particular the black and
brown vote. If this split would have happen it would have benefited Hillary and it would crush
Obama's rainbow coalition. In the long run, this would have increased the odds in favor to the
republicans to retain the white house in two thousand and eight. Obama's debate performance
was smooth and steady. Quite frankly, the crowd was told they couldn't show any applause for any
of the candidate's remarks. Mr. Obama regardless of the rules received applause from several of
his statements. His performance could be described as grace under political fire.
It seems to me that this Las Vegas debate was by designed to give Hillary a cover up for her
2. personal attacks she and her political machine had displayed. Her only defense was if it didn't
come out of my mouth then I am not responsible for it. What a cop out, and it was an answer I
would have expected she would give. Her appearance on stage reminded me of a cat trying to
hide a canary in its mouth. Bill and Hillary stacked the deck of the Las Vegas debate and almost
seem to know what questions was going to be asked prior to the debate. Well, John Edwards
during the debate looked and acted like a dark horse, while sounding like a scratch record. If I was
too place my bets it would be on Barak Obama. He looks, acts, and talks like a president. There
also seems to be a reality and honesty, in the way he answers tuff questions. His answers don't
seem it is based off of some poll or pandering to a focus group. Hillary answers to questions seem
like they aren't from her own mind but it is from the mind of Bill, who is her puppet master.
