The Argentina National Congress is the body
that exercises the legislative power of the
government of Argentina. It is a bicameral
assembly, consisting of a Chamber of
Deputies, consisting of 257 members, and a
Senate, consisting of 72 senators.
3. THE PINK HOUSE
The Pink House is the seat of the executive
branch of Argentina. Inside is the office of
President of Argentina.
This building is located in Balcarce street 50, in
the City of Buenos Aires, facing the historic
Plaza de Mayo. Its characteristic color is pink
and is considered one of the most emblematic
buildings in Buenos Aires.
4. THE PLAZA DE MAYO
The Plaza de Mayo, founding site of the City of
Buenos Aires, Argentina, was born of the union
of the squares and Fort Victoria, in 1884 to
demolish a building called Recova Vieja that
separated them.
5. CATHEDRAL
The neoclassical Metropolitan Cathedral of
Buenos Aires is the main Catholic church in
Argentina. It is located at the intersection of San
Martin and Rivadavia Avenue, the neighborhood
of San Nicolás, opposite the Plaza de Mayo.
6. THE TEATRO COLON
The Teatro Colon, located in the City of Buenos
Aires, is one of the most important opera
houses in the world for its size, and background
noise. It is considered one of the five best
theaters for opera for its outstanding acoustics.
7. RECOLETA
Recoleta is a central suburb of the city of
Buenos Aires, Argentina, is a broad area of
historical and architectural interest, especially
by the Recoleta Cemetery located there, and a
major tourist and cultural focus within the city.
