Heartgard Plus for dogs are beef flavored tablets that protects canines against heartworm infection
and heartworm diseases. To be administered monthly, the tablets are given to 6 weeks and older
puppies and dogs of all breeds and sizes. Given all year around these tablets saves dogs from
heartworm infections from other pets and surroundings.
Heartgard Plus for dogs are beef flavored chewable that prevent heartworm infections in puppies
and dogs. It kills heartworm larvae and thus impedes the growth of heartworms in dogs. When
administered on a monthly basis all year round, these tablets save the dog from deadly heartworm
diseases. It is also an effective treatment for intestinal worms including roundworms and
hookworms.
Ivermectin, the active ingredient is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic that kills and prevents worm
infestations. With a wide margin of safety, Heartgard is ideal treatment for puppies, adult dogs, stud
dogs, breeding and lactating females.

Direction for Use
Heartgard Plus is available in three types of packs – Heartgard Chewable for small dogs (Blue pack
for up to 25 lbs), Chewable for Medium dogs (Green Pack for 26-50 lbs) and Chewable for large dogs
(Brown pack for 51-100 lbs). Weigh your dog and select the appropriate pack.
Before starting treatment with Heartgard, get your pet checked by a veterinarian for existing
heartworm infections. If the dog does not have heartworm infection then start administering
Heartgard on a monthly basis, preferably on the same date.
If you have missed giving any dose and 30 days have passed since last dose then immediately
resume the monthly treatment schedule by giving Heartgard Plus tablet. Give tablets directly in the
mouth or break into pieces for ease of swallowing.

3. Repeat every month and continue for 12 months. Consult a veterinarian if you have missed giving
more than two months of doses.

Safety
